"She's going to do just fine. I can use her as leverage next time Alarick tries to meddle in." I say as I contemplate my next attack to bring down the Morrisons. "But, King, I thought you said we should never touch the women. What if she gets hurt? Alarick would never forgive you. Touching the Dark Moon's Luna will only bring their pack and their allies to war with us. We don't have enough people to fight them all sir." my right hand says, making me growl.

"I know we don't have enough people to fight them off," I yelled out. "But we need to try a new tactic. Anything, to, make the Dark Moon Pack get off our backs." I add, frustratingly. Why the hell did this kid need to get involved? I don't get it. What could he possibly have to gain from helping them?

They are nothing but traitors. Traitors to my family, traitors to our kind, and traitors to themselves. They are all better off dead.

"I will ensure she doesn't get hurt. We just need to make him believe it. This way, he will have no choice but to back away and let me take over that mediocre pack." I say as I stare at the screen where my little bugger keeps sending the I, age of their celebration. "Drink, dance, and party all night, Alarick. Soon, you'll be begging me to give you back your little Luna.

I scuff as I see Skylar and his mate sitting at a table nearby. So they are friends. I should have known. No wonder he wasn't hesitant to help their pack the last time I tried to attack them. "We'll just have to see who is more resilient, little Ricky. You... Or me?" I ask as I stare in anger at the screen before me, clenching my jaw and fisting my hands.

Livie

I felt like the ceremony went by so quickly. I hope I did everything right. I want every single one of our members to know I tried my best. "I present to you, alpha Alarick and Luna Olivia Dannelly. Our leaders of The Dark Moon Pack." I feel my heart beating so fast that my hands feel clammy, but the moment he says those words, I am filled with joy.

Everyone cheered for us, standing up and clapping joyfully. Ricky turns and cups my face, smiling from ear to ear as he kisses my lips. The kiss is deep, meaningful, and passionate, making my body fill with sparks. And for a second, I forget where we are, embracing the feeling, kissing him back as I place my hands on his hips. I can feel his lips tug into a smile as our kiss continues until we pull apart.

"I love you, Mrs. Dannelly," he says, making my smile brighter. "And I love you, Mr. Dannelly," I add, making him pull me for one more kiss.

As the party ends and everyone has begun going home after they enjoyed themselves, eating and dancing, I slip away for a few seconds, excusing myself to use the restroom. I go in there, do my business, and then walk out to wash my hands, but I grunt as I see Leah and Evelyn standing there, washing their hands as well.

I casually walk past them, turn the faucet on and begin to wash my hands. I can feel their eyes on me, scanning and studying my every move. "Little ol' miss nothing Livie... The new Luna to this pack. Can you believe this, Leah?" Evelyn says, making me close my eyes in frustration. "Now let me get this straight... You sent her here to get rid of her because you feared Skylar could retract from his rejection and take her back. But she ends up being the luna every other luna in our region is talking about. This?... you?" Evelyn says, laughing as if it was the funniest thing in the world.

I turn angrily, and I can see Leah is pissed off as well. Her hands are folded over her chest, looking at Evelyn through dark eyes as her wolf threatens to merge. "Rip her damn head off, Liv!" my wolf, Freya says, making me scuff.

"Let me make something clear to you, Evelyn," I say in my luna tone, and she has no choice but to stay quiet and obey. *perks of being a wolf*

"I am not the stupid little omega you were used to using as a punching bag. I am Olivia Dannelly, Luna of the Dark Moon Pack. And if you can not control your behavior, I will be happy to give you escorted out of my pack." I say, and I get closer, making her smile fall, her eyes widen in surprise, and she begins to take steps back. "I will not stand for your insolence, or your disrespect to me, or anyone in my pack. Are we clear? You are in my pack, and everyone here is treated with equal respect. And just as I expect everyone to treat you with respect, I expect you to do the same... Or," I say, backing a step away from her to see the look of shock in her eyes.

"I can have you leave now. I'm pretty sure you can call one of your many fuck buddies to come to pick you up at the gates of our territory." I say with a smile.

"Now if you will excuse me. My husband is waiting on me." I say, winking an eye, and began to walk away. I push open the door, and Leah runs behind me, pulling my arm softly. "Livie, wait," she says, making me stop in my tracks.

"Listen, I... I know I have no right to ask you to forgive me. I was so rude and mean to you all these years."

"You're right. You have no right to ask."

"No, I mean it... I guess," she says, looking down at her shoes with embarrassment. "I guess I was just scared," she says, making me chuckle in disbelief.

"I mean it. Livie, a part of me always feared that... You would end up as Skylar's mate, and, I mean, I wasn't wrong, right? You were his mate, and it made me so hurt. I made a bad decision and made it my mission to break you because I was always so mad at the thought of him falling for you. He had always been the love of my life, regardless of how toxic we were together. I love him, Olivia."

"Why, me, though? He always chose you. He was yours, and it didn't matter if I ended up being his mate or any other girl. He chose you, and I had no interest in him, I never did. I wanted nothing with him, just as he wanted nothing with me. Yet... You both made my life hell."I said, irritated. Freya was trying to grab my attention, but I was too heated.

"He rejected me to be with you. The moment he found out I was his mate, he rejected me without hesitation. And you knew... You knew he didn't want me and yet you sent Evelyn and your bitch friends to harass me. They beat me so bad I couldn't even stand my own body. Everything hurt, I thought I was dying. Not just because of the beating, but because Skylar had just rejected me." I said, unaware of who was standing beside us.

"You... You were mated to alpha Skylar? Why didn't you ever tell me, Liv?" my eyes widen in shock as I hear Ricky's voice. He sounds pained and angered. I can feel Black, and he feels just as mad as Ricky looks. "Ricky... I... No. I wasn't."

"But you just said it. I heard you. I came to check on you to make sure you were ok. But I get it now. I wondered for a while why you were uncomfortable with my decision to invite them. You didn't want them here for your celebration, and I couldn't pinpoint why... but now I know."

"Ricky, you have it all wrong. I was never." Ricky walks to me, looking at me with mixed emotions. He's fighting Black for dominance, and I can't blame him. I should have told him from the start. But I didn't see the importance of it. At least... Not until now. "Alpha Alarick, I can assure you nothing happened between them," Leah says, and Ricky looks at her with his eyes dark and hands fisted. He growls, making her step back.

"Luna Morrison, will you excuse my wife and me? We need to talk," he says in his alpha tone, causing shivers down my spine. "Bedroom, now!" he demands, and I feel like crap. God, how could I've been so stupid? I was so inconsiderate. I should have told him! Ricky had never been so mad around me. He had never raised his voice or spoken to me in his alpha tone. I feel horrible. "Ricky, I'm sorry... I should have told you from the start, I know... And... I am so sorry. I swear I never did anything with him." I say, but he is too mad to listen.

He growls, hitting the wall behind me with his fist, and making me flinch. I just fucked up, big time. Way to go, Liv.
