Chapter Rejected Luna 24
Chapter 24
Silas's eyes flickered briefly, a moment of hesitation that did not go unnoticed by Lena. "It was my assistant," he lied, avoiding her gaze. "It's nothing."
But she wasn't buying it. With a swift, angry motion, Lena tore off the band-aid, revealing the red scratch beneath it-the mark I had left, deliberately timed to make it look incriminating. Her eyes narrowed, her lips curling in disgust. "What's your excuse for this?" she hissed.
Silas's patience snapped. "You're making a big deal out of nothing," he retorted, his voice rising in frustration.
"Just because there's a scratch on my hand doesn't mean I've been with another woman. You're being irrational, Lena. You're acting crazy."
She recoiled at his words, her face contorting in a mixture of hurt and anger. "I'm the Luna now," she shot back, her voice trembling. "And I know something is wrong. I can feel it."
At this point, I knew I had to take things to the next level. I reached into my bag, pulling out my phone, and quickly typed out a message to Silas. My fingers hovered over the send button for a brief second, savoring the anticipation, before pressing it. I'll see you tomorrow. Love you.
I barely had time to tuck my phone away before I heard the familiar ding of Silas's phone inside the office.
Lena's head whipped toward the sound, her eyes narrowing in suspicion. Silas moved quickly, trying to grab his phone before she could, but it was too late. Lena lunged for it, snatching it from the desk. "What are you doing?" Silas demanded, but she ignored him, her eyes scanning the screen.
I could almost feel the moment her heart dropped, the moment she read my message and realized the full extent of what was happening. Her face went pale, and then, in an instant, her fury returned tenfold. "You bastard," she whispered, her voice low and venomous. "You're cheating on me."
"Lena, you're being ridiculous," Silas said, but the panic in his voice was unmistakable. He reached for her, but she yanked her arm away, glaring at him with unbridled rage.
"I won't let it happen," she seethed, her voice rising to a shriek. "I won't let another woman come between us. Whoever she is, I'll find her, and I'll tear her to pieces!"
Silas's eyes darkened at her words. I could see the shift in his demeanor, the way his posture stiffened, and a dangerous edge crept into his voice.
"Lena, stop."
But she didn't. She was beyond reason now, consumed by her jealousy, her paranoia, and the weight of her own insecurities. "I'll kill her," she vowed, her voice trembling with rage. "I'll find her, and I'll-" "Lena!" Silas's voice cut through her rant like a knife, cold and sharp.
He reached out, grabbing her jaw with a firm, almost painful grip. His eyes were icy, and for the first time, Lena seemed to realize she had gone too
far.
"You will not do anything to anyone," Silas said slowly, his voice dripping with menace. "Do you understand?"
Lena's eyes widened in shock at the sudden change in him, but she nodded, her body trembling under his grip.
"You're out of control," Silas continued, his tone deadly calm. "And I won't tolerate it. You need to leave."
He released her, turning away in disgust. "I'm calling security," he said, his voice void of emotion. "You need to go."
Silas pressed his hand to his temple, clearly exhausted. Through the mind link, I could sense him calling for the guards to escort Lena out of the building. It was only a matter of minutes before they arrived. Silas had been rude and distant all day, which upset Lena more and more. I stayed hidden, watching as she finally lost her patience and broke down in
his room.

Chapter 24
"You don't care about me, Silas!" Lena cried, her voice shaking as tears ran down her face.
"You treat me like I'm nothing. Is this how you think a Luna should be treated? Like I don't even matter?"
Silas, who usually kept his emotions hidden, seemed to soften when he heard her words. His stern expression faltered for a moment, and I saw a change in his eyes.
He let out a quiet sigh and nodded toward the guards, signaling for them to leave.
The sound of the heavy doors closing echoed through the room, leaving the two of them alone in the quiet space.
"Calm down, Lena," Silas said, his tone gentler than I'd ever heard it. "That's not true."
Lena sniffled, her shoulders shaking slightly as she wrapped her arms around herself, almost like she was trying to protect herself from the hurt.
looked at him with pleading eyes and said, "Then prove it. Don't see anyone else tonight. Just have dinner with me-only me-for once. Please."
Her voice trembled, and I could see how much she needed this, how desperate she was for his attention and reassurance.
Silas hesitated for a moment, his jaw tightening, but then he nodded. "Fine. Dinner tonight. Just us."
Hiding outside the door, I couldn't help but grin. Their plans were now my plans.
When they mentioned the name of the restaurant, I made sure to remember it.
If Lena thought she was going to have a perfect evening with Silas, she was in for a surprise.
