Chapter Rejected Luna 28
Chapter 28
"You think this is funny?" she hissed, her voice shaking.
I leaned back, crossing my arms. "I think it's hilarious."
That was the final straw. With a furious cry, Lena lunged at me, grabbing my hair and yanking it hard.
"You smug little snake!" she screamed.
I stumbled slightly, caught off guard by her sudden attack, but I quickly regained my footing. I grabbed her wrists, trying to pull her hands away. "Let
of me, Lena!" I shouted, glaring at her.
She refused to back down, and for a moment, we fought fiercely. It was like two wild animals battling for control.
Her nails dug into my arms, leaving sharp scratches that burned. I pushed her hard, and she stumbled back, crashing into a chair.
The chair tipped over with a loud thud, and she fell onto the floor, glaring up at me with a mix of anger and shock.
My heart was racing, and for a second, everything around us seemed frozen, except for the sound of our heavy breathing.
The room erupted into chaos as my employees scrambled to get out of the way.
"Stop this, Lena!" I yelled, but she was too far gone.
Within moments, one of my bodyguards rushed in, pulling Lena off me and pinning her arms behind her back.
"Let go of me!" she screamed, thrashing in his grip. "You can't do this to me! I'm Luna!"
I straightened my dress, brushing my hair back into place, and stepped closer to her. My voice was calm but cold.
"And I'm the sister of Branwen, Alpha of the Silverlake Pack. So don't think for a second that your title scares me."
Her eyes widened slightly, and for a moment, she seemed to falter.
I turned to the bodyguard. "Take her outside. Let everyone see what kind of Luna she really is-a spoiled, petty shrew who can't control her temper." The bodyguard nodded and began dragging her toward the door.
"You'll regret this, Lorelei!" Lena screamed, struggling against his hold. "Do you know what you're doing? I'm Luna! You can't treat me like this!"
I smirked, folding my arms as I watched her being dragged away. "Watch me," I said simply.
The doors swung open, and the bodyguard hauled Lena outside, tossing her onto the pavement.
A small crowd had gathered, drawn by the noise. They whispered among themselves, their eyes widening as they recognized the Luna of the pack
Lena scrambled to her feet, her hair disheveled and her face red with humiliation.
She glared at me with pure hatred as I stood in the doorway, looking down at her.
"You've gone too far, Lorelei," she said through gritted teeth.
Her hands shook as she reached into her pocket and pulled out her phone. "I'm calling Silas. He'll put you in your place."
I raised an eyebrow, unimpressed. "Go ahead. Call him. Let's see if he rushes to your rescue."
Lena's fingers trembled as she dialed his number, her anger boiling over. The crowd murmured, some looking at her with pity, others with judgment.
I stayed where I was, calm and composed, knowing I had already won this round. Let her call Silas.
It wouldn't change the fact that today, I had made her face the truth about who really held the power.

The atmosphere in the room was thick with tension. I stood downstairs with a small group of people, all of us quietly waiting to see what Silas would 12:30

do when he arrived.
My heart felt heavy, but I kept my face calm, not letting my emotions show, I could feel the eyes of the crowd on me, judging me as they glanced between Lena and me.
She stood nearby, her body language full of confidence, like she had already won. It was clear she was enjoying this moment, thinking Silas would'side with her and put me in my place.
I kept my composure, trying to ignore the way everyone was watching us, but I couldn't shake the feeling of being under a microscope.
Lena had just finished her phone call, and she turned to me with a smug smile. "Lorelei," she said, her voice full of arrogance, "you're done for. Silas will be here soon, and he'll take care of you himself."
Her words stung, but I stayed calm. I could see the satisfaction in her eyes, like she was already imagining my defeat.
She stood there, confident and waiting, sure that everything was going to go her way. I didn't say anything in response, just crossed my arms and waited, knowing that things weren't going to be as easy for her as she thought. Her words stung, but I kept my face neutral. I didn't want her to see how much her antics affected me. Instead, I folded my arms and leaned against the wall, pretending to be unbothered.
Soon enough, the sound of a car pulling up outside signaled Silas's arrival.
The murmurs in the crowd grew louder, and Lena's confidence skyrocketed.
She dashed to the door, eager to greet him, her entire demeanor shifting as she prepared to play the role of the innocent victim.

"Silas!" she called out, rushing toward him as if she were looking for comfort or attention.
She practically threw herself at him, but to her surprise-and everyone else's-he didn't even acknowledge her. Without a second glance, he walked right past her, as if she wasn't even there.
His eyes were locked on me the entire time, and with a calm, purposeful stride, he headed straight in my direction. It was clear that whatever she was expecting, it wasn't going to happen. All that mattered to him now was me. "Lorelei," he said, his voice low but filled with concern. His gaze scanned me from head to toe as if checking for injuries. "Are you hurt? Did she do anything to you?"
I gave him a soft smile, trying to ease his worry. "I'm fine, Silas. Lena did try to hurt me, but I've decided to let it go. For your sake, I'm willing to forgive her.
His face softened, and he nodded appreciatively. "You're too kind, Lorelei. Your patience and understanding amaze me."
Turning to Lena, his tone hardened. "Lena, you owe Lorelei an apology. Right now."
Lena hesitated, her earlier confidence replaced with reluctance.
Still, she walked toward me, her expression unreadable. I stood tall, waiting for the apology I deserved, but what happened next caught me completely off guard.
In a split second, her face twisted into a mask of rage.
She spat a mouthful of water at me, the liquid splashing onto my clothes. Gasps erupted from the crowd, and before I could react, Lena began hurling insults at me with venom in her voice.
"You think you're better than me?" she screamed. "You're nothing! Nothing!"
Silas's face turned red with anger. Without hesitation, he raised his hand and slapped her across the cheek.
The sound echoed in the room, silencing everyone. Lena stumbled back, clutching her face in shock. Tears welled up in her eyes as she stared at Silas, disbelief etched into her features.
"How could you do this to me, Silas?" she sobbed. "All for her? She's nothing compared to me!"
I stepped forward, my voice calm but firm. "Silas, this is the second time you've let Lena hurt me. I don't want to hear any more excuses. This has gone too far."
Silas's panic was immediate. "Lorelei, please, you have to believe me. I had no idea she'd react this way. She was supposed to apologize to you."
I shook my head, disappointment weighing heavily on me. Without another word, I turned and walked away, heading back to my office.
I didn't look back, even as I heard Silas calling after me. Once inside, I shut the door and leaned against it, closing my eyes to calm my racing thoughts.
For the rest of the day, Silas's calls bombarded my phone. Each time, I hit the "decline" button, refusing to entertain his pleas.
When the calls stopped, text messages took their place, each one filled with apologies and desperate requests for forgiveness. I ignored those too, needing time to process everything that had happened.
By the time night fell, a storm had rolled in. Rain poured relentlessly, the sound of it hammering against the windows matching the turmoil in my mind.
1 curled up on the couch with a blanket, hoping the storm would lull me to sleep, but instead, my phone buzzed again. This time, it wasn't a call or a text it was a notification from my doorbell camera. Curious, I opened the app and saw Silas standing outside my building, drenched from head to toe.
The rain had soaked through his clothes, plastering his hair to his forehead, but he didn't seem to care. He stood there, shouting up toward my apartment.
