Both Lena and I stopped in our tracks, our breaths coming in short, sharp bursts.

The air was heavy with tension as we turned toward the voice that had broken through our fight.

Silas stood there, towering at the entrance of Evans Group, his expression a blend of shock, confusion, and anger.

His eyes flickered between Lena and me, taking in the scene of our battle. His gaze lingered on Lena for a moment, noting her disheveled hair and the wild look in her eyes, before finally settling on me.

His brows furrowed as he stared at my wolf form, his lips parting slightly as if he couldn't believe what he was seeing.

"Lorelei..." he said slowly, his voice steady but laced with disbelief. "What... what is going on here?"

I felt my heart pounding in my chest as his piercing gaze locked onto me.

His eyes, once filled with trust, now carried suspicion. I could see the questions swirling in his mind, questions I wasn't ready to answer.

"Silas, look at her!" Lena shouted, her voice trembling with anger.

She shifted back into her human form, pointing a shaking finger at me. "That wolf, look at her wolf!

It's Rowena's! Don't you see it?"

Silas's jaw tightened as he glanced at Lena, clearly frustrated by her outburst. But his attention quickly returned to me.

His eyes swept over my white fur, the distinct markings that were undeniably unique to Rowena.

The recognition in his expression was like a dagger to my heart.

"Lorelei..." he repeated, his tone heavier this time. "Why... why does your wolf look exactly like Rowena's?"

My heart dropped. Silas's expression was filled with confusion and suspicion.

I opened my mouth to respond, but no words came out. Panic gripped me, and my instincts

screamed at me to run.

"I-1..." I stammered, taking a step back.

"Gilas, don't you see?" Lena shouted, "She's Rowena! She's been lying to all of us!"

"Enough, Lena!" Silas snapped, his Alpha voice cutting through the air. But then he turned back to me, his eyes searching mine, "Lorelei... is it true?"

I couldn't bear to face him. Without thinking, I turned on my heels and bolted. I didn't know where I was going, I just needed to get away, "Lorelei, wait!" Silas called after me.

But before I could take more than a few steps, a sharp pain shot through my side. I cried out and stumbled, falling to the ground.

When I looked down, I saw Lena standing behind me, holding a knife.

Blood dripped from the blade, and a cruel smile played on her lips. "You're not running anywhere," she said coldly,

The pain was excruciating, but I refused to show weakness.

I tried to stand, but my legs wobbled beneath me. Silas rushed to my side, his face pale with worry.

The pain was unlike anything I had ever felt before. It was sharp and unbearable, like something was tearing apart my chest.

Every breath I tried to take only made it worse, as if the air was too thick to inhale.

A hot, burning sensation spread from the wound, moving through my body, and I couldn't control it.

My chest felt tight, and I struggled to breathe. My vision was blurry, making everything around me look far away and unclear.

The world seemed to spin, like I was in the middle of a storm. I could barely focus, but I managed to look down at myself.

The sight of the blood was overwhelming. It was dark, sticky, and warm, soaking through my clothes. I could feel it slowly slipping from my body, and I knew that it was coming from the deep stab wound in my chest. My heart raced in panic. It was Lena. She had done this to me.

She had hurt me, and now... paying the price.

I barely noticed her dropping the knife. Her face was twisted with a sick satisfaction as she ran

away, leaving me alone in my agony.

My body collapsed under the weight of the injury, and my legs gave way beneath me.

The world around me seemed to slow, and my heart pounded in my ears.

All I could focus on was the overwhelming pain and the heavy, suffocating darkness that began to

close in on me.

"Lorelei! No! Hold on!" Silas's frantic voice broke through the fog in my mind.

His hands were pressed against the wound in my chest, trying to stop the blood, but I could feel it slipping through his fingers, warm and sticky.

The pressure he was applying wasn't enough to slow it down, and I could feel the blood continuing to flow from me.

My body was getting colder with each passing second, and the world around me seemed to fade a

little more.

Silas's voice was panicked, full of fear, but I couldn't respond. My body was losing strength.
