Chapter 1168
Rosalie's heart leaped, and her entire body stiffened. She stared at Justin without moving an inch as disbelief filled her eyes.
"What...what did you say?"
"Rose, I..."
The doorbell suddenly rang.
Rosalie pulled her hand out as if she felt an electricity current running through it and stood up.
Justin smiled bitterly. He almost asked the question just now. It seemed now wasn't the right time yet.
"I'll go see who it is." Rosalie looked through the peephole on the door, and saw that it was Sebastian. She furrowed her brows, but opened the door anyway. "Seb, what brings you here?"
Sebastian had a bag full of fruits in his hand. "I was worried about you, so I came to check in on you. May I come in?"
He was already here, and Rosalie couldn't just chase him away. "Sure."
Sebastian walked into the living room with the fruits. However, when he saw Justin, his face immediately fell.
"What are you doing here?"
Seeing Justin was akin to seeing his greatest enemy.
Rosalie was worried the two of them might start fighting, and immediately said, "He sent me home. He'll be staying here the next few days." "Why?" Sebastian questioned. "He was in Melrine all the while before. Why did he suddenly come to Blencalgo, and even end up staying with you? What did he do to you?"
Before Justin could reply to him, Rosalie beat him to it. "He didn't do anything to me. What's it to you why he's here at Blencalgo? What's it to you that he's staying at my place? Are you trying to interfere in my private affairs?"
She had had enough of men interfering with her affairs in the name of doing things for her good when all it did was make her uncomfortable.
"I..." Sebastian felt a dull ache in his chest. He wanted to say something to refute Rosalie, but he swallowed his anger back and said, "I'm sorry, I was just worried about you and asked too much. I didn't mean any malice."
"You'd better," Rosalie said with a solemn frown. "Don't say something like that again."
"I'm sorry, I won't. I bought some fruits for you."
Sebastian placed the bag of fruits on the table.
"Rose, have you had dinner? If you haven't, I'll bring you out for dinner."
"No need,
cook something at
home. Thank you for the thought
appreciate it. I just need some time to calm down now. You should go back first."
Sebastian was upset to see Justin still inside the house. "Is he going back then?"
Rosalie sighed helplessly. "Seb, do you mean you want to stay here too?"
"I didn't mean that. Rose, it's fine if you don't want to go out for a meal. I can cook. Let me stay here a while more, or I'll be worried about you. I swear, I won't shoot my mouth off again."
I
Her doorbell rang again.
Rosalie furrowed her brows and went to the door. She could see Yerick outside through the peephole.
What was he doing here too?
Rosalie opened the door. "Yerry, why have you come?"
"Rose," Yerick said with a bag of snacks in hand. "I came to see you 'cause I was worried about you."
His explanation sounded similar to that of Sebastian's. "May I come in?"
Rosalie nodded. "Come on in."
Yerick saw the other two men in the house when he entered and stood stunned for a moment. "Rose, what are these two doing here?"
"Like you, they're both here to see me."
"Is that so? Seems like I'm the redundant one." Yerick lowered his head and bit his lip, looking all pitiful. "I even bought so many snacks for you." "Thanks, Yerry."
"Don't mention it, Rose. Have you had dinner? I was so worried you wouldn't eat. It's not good for you to go hungry. You've lost so much weight since the last time I saw yott."
Rosalie ran her fingers through her hair. "Yerry, why don't you stay and join us for dinner?"
Yerick's presence might defuse the tension in the room and make things less awkward.
