Chapter 1191
Time passed quickly and two weeks went by in a flash.
Rosalie had been having psychological problems and was cooperating with the doctors in her treatment.
She wasn't on medication. Her first doctor had wanted to prescribe her medicine, but she sought a second opinion with another doctor.
Her condition wasn't so severe as to warrant medication. Medication for psychological issues often had strong side effects. She found doctors whose first resort was to just prescribe medicine without regard for anything else quacks.
Thankfully, she found herself another female doctor whom she thought was much better. Instead of prescribing her medicine, the female doctor counseled her and told her that her condition wasn't so severe that it required medication. She was suffering from mild depression and anxiety which was not that severe.
Back at home, Rosalie had Justin's company, which served as emotional support that made her feel much better.
"Rose, I've changed the baby's diaper and fed him. I've also washed his clothes. What do you want for dinner tonight?"
Rosalie remained silent.
"What's the matter? Why are you zoning out?" Justin asked.
Rosalie didn't expect Justin to do everything she was supposed to do. All of a sudden, she didn't have anything left to do.
"Let me prepare dinner. It's been tough on you today."
"It's fine. Take a break and let me take the chores."
He enjoyed taking care of her and doing things for her. Letting her have more rest made him happy.
Perhaps when one truly cared for another, one would instinctively do things like that. He couldn't help but do his best to please her. Making her happy made him happy.
“Justin, thank you for taking care of me during this period. Without you, perhaps..."
"You'll be able to take care of yourself even without me. I'm just the icing on the cake," Justin said, refusing to take any credit.
Rosalie stood silent, but his words warmed her heart.
"I'll cook steak for you tonight. I watched some videos to learn how to do it."
Justin walked into the kitchen as he spoke, pulling out some steak from the fridge.
Rosalie decided not to stop him. She went back to the room and played with Steve in his cot.
Just then, her phone vibrated on the bedside table.
Rosalie answered the call. "Hey, how are investigations going?"
She hired the best private investigator to look into Aurora and Angie.
Justin had been spying on them these few days whenever he had time, but he couldn't find anything.
Aurora and Angie did not do
anything suspicious, going about their day doing normal things, sometimes heading out for some shopping. The private investigator also said that he found nothing suspicious about them so far.
Rosalie's brows furrowed. "Did you really find nothing?"
How did they manage to do such a clean job and leave no traces behind?
“Ms. Young, I think if they really are guilty, they would definitely eliminate all evidence. We have to find a breakthrough somewhere else."
"Where else?" Rosalie asked. “Do you have an idea in mind?"
"I have an idea that you might find bold."
"Not a problem. Any bold ideas will do as long as it makes them expose themselves."
"When Angie and Aurora were
shopping, I trailed behind them, hoping to find something. When they needed & break and Aurora had to go to the washroom, Angie sat outside waiting for her. She started
cursing under her breath while looking at her phone. As I drew closer to her, I realized she was reading a novel and cursing rather nastily. However, while she looked like she hated the novel, she also looked like she couldn't bear to stop reading it. She kept insulting the author," the private investigator said.
"What does the novel have to do with all these?" Rosalie asked doubtfully.
"It's like this," the private investigator explained, "I heard Angie mention the names of the male and female leads of the novel as she was cursing under her breath. I took note of it and went back to search for the names and found that Angie had been leaving comments, scolding the author of the novel, using very
crass and nasty language. So, I have an idea..."
