Four Mates And A She Wolf

Chapter 77

The first light of dawn brought a new sense of urgency to the pack. The palace was still and quiet after the tumultuous battle of the previous night. Exhaustion hung in the air, but so did a sense of triumph and relief. Avery's mates, Shane, Sean, Cruz, and Romeo, were already awake, their expressions a mix of concern and determination as they looked at her.

"Avery, we need to get you to the hospital," Shane said gently, his eyes filled with worry as he took in the bruises and cuts marring her skin. "You've been through so much. We need to make sure you're okay."

Avery glanced down at her bruised arms, the reality of her ordeal settling in. She nodded, understanding their concern. "I know," she said softly. "Let's go."

After they had all showered, they got dressed and were on set on their way.

As they passed through the houses of the Pack members, The pack members gathered around, offering their support and encouragement as Avery and her mates prepared to leave. The journey to the nearest town's hospital was long, but they moved quickly, not wanting to waste any time in ensuring Avery's well-being.

As they traveled through the forest and into town, Avery felt a mix of emotions. Relief at being free, gratitude for her mates' unwavering support, and a lingering sense of vulnerability from her days in captivity. Her body actually ached, and every step reminded her of the brutal treatment she had endured in the den of the rogues. Despite her pain, she drew strength from Shane, Sean, and Romeo, who never left her side, their presence a constant source of comfort and

reassurance.

The hospital loomed ahead, a beacon of hope and healing. As they entered, the sterile scent of antiseptic filled the air, a stark contrast to the earthy, familiar smells of the forest and their pack. The nurses and doctors were quick to respond, guiding Avery to an examination room with practiced efficiency.

"We'll be right here," Romeo said as he squeezed her hand. "You're not alone, Avery."

Avery smiled weakly, her heart swelling with gratitude for her mates' unwavering support. Feeling lucky to have them in her life. "Thank you," she whispered. "I don't know what I'd do without you."

The doctor entered, his expression professional yet kind. "Let's see what we're dealing with," he said, his tone gentle as he began to examine her injuries. He checked her vitals, assessed the bruises and cuts, and ordered a series of tests to ensure there were no internal injuries.

As the examination continued, Shane, Sean, and Romeo remained close by, their concern evident in their tense postures and furrowed brows. They watched anxiously as the doctor worked, their worry growing with each passing moment. "You're strong, Avery," Sean said softly. "You'll get through this."

Avery nodded, drawing strength from his words. She knew the road to recovery would be challenging, but with her mates by her side, she felt a glimmer of hope.

After a thorough examination, the doctor stepped back, his expression thoughtful. "You're lucky," he said, addressing both Avery and her mates. "The injuries are mostly superficial bruises, cuts, and some muscle strain. There are no signs of internal damage, but she'll need rest and care to heal properly."

Relief washed over Avery, and she let out a breath she hadn't realized she was holding. "Thank you," she said.

The doctor nodded, a reassuring smile on his face. "We'll clean and bandage the wounds, and I'll prescribe some pain medication to help with the discomfort. Make sure she gets plenty of rest, and avoid any strenuous activity for a while." Shane, Sean, and Romeo listened intently, their faces reflecting their determination to ensure Avery's well-being. "We'll take care of her," Shane said firmly. "She'll have everything she needs."

As the doctor and nurses tended to Avery's injuries, she felt a sense of peace settle over her. The physical pain was still there, but knowing that she was in capable hands, surrounded by those who loved her, made the burden easier to bear. Once the treatment was complete, Avery was given a set of instructions for her recovery. Her mates thanked the medical staff, expressing their gratitude for their care and attention. They gently helped Avery out of the examination room, their movements careful and considerate of her injuries.

Back at the pack's territory, a sense of calm had settled over the camp. The members were busy repairing the damage from the battle, their spirits lifted by the victory and the return of their beloved packmate. Avery was greeted with smiles and words of encouragement as her mates guided her to their palace.

Inside, the atmosphere was warm and inviting. Sean helped Avery to the couch, arranging pillows and blankets to make her comfortable. "Just rest," he said softly. "We'll take care of everything."

Romeo disappeared into the kitchen, emerging a few minutes later with a tray of food and a cup of herbal tea. "You need to eat," he said gently, placing the tray on the table in front of her. "It'll help you regain your strength." Avery smiled, her heart swelling with gratitude. "Thank you," she said.

Just as Avery began to close her eyes, the door to her room creaked open. She looked up, her heart skipping a beat as her parents, Amelia and David, entered the room, followed closely by her younger sister, Haylee. The sight of her family brought a fresh wave of tears to her eyes.

"Avery!" Amelia cried, rushing forward to envelop her daughter in a gentle but firm hug. "Oh, my baby, we were so worried about you!"

David stood beside them, his face etched with concern. He gently placed a hand on Avery's shoulder, his eyes filled with unspoken relief. "It's good to see you safe, Avery," he said quietly. Haylee, unable to hold back any longer, threw her arms around Avery, her eyes glistening with tears. "I missed you so much," she whispered, her voice trembling.
