From Sneers to Cheers: Anthea’s Ascent ( Anthea )

Chapter 403

Anthea gratefully accepted the glass of water from Jane, "Thanks, sis."

"It's no trouble at all," Jane replied, finally getting a good look at the face hidden beneath the hat.

What a beautiful girl!

Jane couldn't help but think to herself.

After taking a sip, Anthea turned to Tanya, "Tanya, what did the doctors say about your condition?"

Tanya smiled weakly, "Late-stage lung cancer. It's beyond treatment now. I'm just undergoing radiation therapy."

"Radiation therapy?" Anthea frowned slightly, gently grasping Tanya's wrist to feel her pulse. After a moment, she said, "The cancer has begun to spread to the bones. Radiation won't do much now, except cause more pain. Tanya, I'm confident I can cure your lung cancer. Will you trust me?"

The room went silent.

Tanya was stunned.

So was everyone else.

Anthea said she could cure lung cancer?

But she was so young.

Barely eighteen?

"Annie?" Tanya finally spoke.

"Just trust me, and I'll talk to the hospital to arrange the surgery immediately," Anthea continued.

Looking into Anthea's eyes, Tanya nodded firmly, "Yes! I believe you!"

Karan couldn't hold back, "Young lady, you and Tanya are classmates. She's already going through so much. Please don't joke about this!"

"Aunt Karan, I'm not joking," Anthea turned to her.

Everyone in the room seemed to think Anthea was just kidding.

Tanya quickly added, "Mom! Annie's not joking! I believe her. Remember the weight loss recipe she gave me?"

At the mention of the weight loss recipe, Karan's expression changed.

Tanya had been quite overweight and had tried many ways to lose weight without success.

After following Anthea's secret recipe, she had lost over 80 pounds!

"Tanya continued, "Dad, Mom, big brother, sister-in-law, I can't be cured in a hospital. Since Annie says shex has a way Yet's give her a chance I'm already like this; it can't get any worse. And Annie has studied ancient healing arts and has been guided by a master. I trust her abilities!"

Indeed, with late-stage lung cancer, trying something new offered a glimmer of hope, whereas doing nothing guaranteed despair.

Gage stood up, "Tanya, your dad believes in you, and we trust your friend."

Once Gage spoke, no one else objected.

"Uncle Gage, who's Tanya's primary doctor? Could you take me to them?" Anthea asked.

"Of course," Gage nodded.

Together, they approached the office of the chief physician, Dr. Judson.

"Hello, Dr. Judson, I'm Ms. Ye," Anthea introduced herself clearly, "a practitioner of ancient healing arts. I've studied cancer extensively and am completely confident in my ability to cure Tanya's lung cancer. I hope the hospital can cooperate with me. In return, I'm willing to share my cancer-curing method with your doctors without holding anything back."

Curing cancer?

If cancer could truly be cured, it would be a blessing for humanity!

Unfortunately, no such cure existed.

"Young lady, how old are you? Do you realize what you're claiming? Curing cancer?" Even the hospital director wouldn't dare make such a claim. The girl had guts, to say the least! "I really can cure cancer," Anthea insisted.

Dr. Judson chuckled, "Aside from that, do you have a medical license, a pharmacist's qualification, and a certification in ancient healing arts?"

Anthea remained silent, searching her bag for something.

Seeing this, Dr. Judson assumed

she was trying to hide her

embarrassment with the action of

rummaging through her bag.

"Without even the most basic.

credentials, you're claiming you can cure cancer?"

Just as he finished speaking, Anthea placed three documents on the table, "Here are my medical license, pharmacist's qualification, and certification in ancient healing arts."
