His destined mate

Chapter 64

Ethan's POV

Shadows hissed, twirling with dark energy, as I readied myself. The room shook, and I felt the weight of Derek's negativity pressing against us. "Come back!" I screamed as I pushed Bianca back, my price coursing through my veins. Derek's smile was sweet, chilling me to the bone.

"You still think you can save her? You're too late, brother." The shadows twisted and twisted as they reached us, eager to snag their prey like snakes. "Bianca, summon your magic!" I searched, my heart pounding. "We have to push back!" She nodded her eyes. Its glowing power could be seen burning, cutting through the incoming beam of bright light. Together we created a barrier, a shining shield that blocked shadows. But Derek just smiled, surprised. "You really think your little tricks can stop me? I, you, staggered in pride and became strong." As the shadows thickened, the air grew heavier.

My heart pounded; Memories of our past struggles flashed before me Derek's betrayal, the war that tore our family apart. I thought they buried those memories, but now they've got their thumbs up again. "This is enough!" he said. I screamed, using all my strength. "You will never take this kingdom away from me!"

I crept forward ready to face my brother. The barrier bounced around us, but I felt it wobble under the weight of Derek's power. Every time I take a step, the ground shakes beneath me. Derek's POV

Ethan's defiance fueled my anger. "You're always gracious, aren't you?" I smiled, and moved forward, the shadows flying at my command. "Well, let's see how long you can hold that title."

With a wave of my hand, I released a wave of dark energy, and the room went into chaos. Cracks in the stone walls became spider webs as shadows flowed towards Ethan and Bianca, their light shining in my power-face. "Remember the last time we fought, Ethan?" I clapped my hands, enjoying the moment. "You were so sure, so sure you could save anything.

But look where that led you you're facing your destruction again." I could see the pain in his eyes as he struggled with my magic, but I wouldn't give up. I spent years planning for this moment. The thrill of revenge flowed through me, electrifying everything.

"Derek, you're a coward!" these he cried, his voice hoarse but full of faith. "You're always hiding in the shadows." The comment about the cowards lit a fire in me. "Hidden? Not brother. I'm just biding the time, waiting for the perfect opportunity to get back what I deserve."

Bianca's POV

The tension in the room was sickening. As the shadows moved around us, I felt the power flow through me. I couldn't let Derek win; I've let him destroy everything we fought for. "Ethan, we can do this together!" I demanded, my voice steady despite the commotion.

He nodded, determination shining in his eyes. Together we focused our energy, channeling our magic into one solid light. It pushed away the darkness, illuminating the room with a bright light.

"Do you feel that way?" Ethan said, his voice thick. "We're so strong together that he'll never be alone." With one big push we unleashed our combined strength. The light splintered, colliding with Derek's shadow, creating a shock wave that shook the castle's very foundations.

Derek's POV

As the light cut through the darkness, the ground beneath me shifted. "No!" I roared as I felt my control slip away. The shadows retreated, struggling against the glow of their combined magic. In that moment of anxiety, I reached deep into my darkness and summoned every ounce of strength I had.

"You think you can beat me? I live in the darkness of all hearts!" With a final push, I directed the shadows towards the big wave, falling on top of Etan and Bianca. "You'll regret this!" Ethan's POV

"Do your own research!" I screamed as the darkness surged ahead, a terrifying wave intent on swallowing us up. I felt the shadow squeeze, but I held Bianca's hand, drawing strength from our connection. "now!"

She cried, and together we redirected our magic, forming a protective dome around us. The impact was great, but we stood firm and refused to give in. The light fought back fiercely, pushing away the incoming darkness.

I could feel the warmth coming from our combined magic, illuminating the room and pushing back the shadows inch by inch. "Ethan!" he said. he said, smirking. Bianca screamed, her voice strained. "It's too much!" he said.

"No! We can't stop!" "We're not just fighting for ourselves for anyone who believes in us!" I shouted back feeling the adrenaline surge. With a final surge of will, I released every ounce of magic that was left. The light shone, bright and powerful, and I could feel the darkness beginning to recede.

But just when I thought we were gaining control, I saw something in the shadows-Derek's crooked smile, the dark gleam in his eyes

"Ethan, be careful!" Bianca screamed, her voice a mixture of panic and urgency. Before I could react, a large shadow appeared behind me,

knocking me off my feet and sending me to the ground. Pain shot through my body as I struggled to regain my bearings, the protective dome throbbing.

Derek's laughter filled the air, the sound malicious. "You're not as strong as you think, brother. This is the beginning." I looked up and saw the darkness closing in again, more intensely than before, and my heart ached.

I had fought hard to protect what mattered, but now the abyss seemed to be pulling at me. "Bianca!" he said. he said, smirking. I screamed as the shadow threatened to swallow us whole. And by then the room was dark. The war was far from over, and all my dear fate hung in the balance.
