Chapter 1349: They've taken Mom!
Once the trip was set, Paulina began packing her luggage, using four suitcases to barely fit.
"It's not easy to make this trip." Paulina couldn't help but lament.
Marcos laughed lightly and took the suitcases to the wall before taking Paulina in his arms and kissing her forehead, "It was hard for you." "How hard, I say that from memory." Paulina tilted her head and unexpectedly met his eyes, which were full of tenderness.
The next moment, soft lips were on her, lingering.
After discussing with Esteban and Sweety the possibility of flying first to England and then to Denmark, Marcos booked the tickets.
On the day of departure, the family got up early, had breakfast and headed straight to the airport.
After picking up the boarding passes, the two little ones did not want to stay in the waiting room and Sweety wanted to eat a dessert from a nearby shopping mall. Paulina agreed, as it was still early.
When they arrived at the mall, Sweety excitedly ran towards the dessert store on her short legs.
Paulina, with Esteban in her arms, slowly followed them.
"Mom, it's Spiderman!" shouted Esteban in surprise as he reached out his hand and pointed somewhere. Paulina followed his finger and saw a sculpture of Spider-Man in a climbing position not far away.
Esteban's dark eyes glowed, clearly as they do when they see something they like.
"Wait if we see a Lego store, we'll buy a Spider-Man to put together at home, okay?" asked Paulina.
Esteban was overjoyed at the prospect, "Yes!".
"Come on, let's get dad and sister first.".
With that said, Paulina led him in the direction of the candy store and as they passed the corner, the door to the secure hallway next to them burst open. A hand reached out and violently grabbed Paulina's arm, trying to drag her inside!
She was confused and didn't even see what the other person looked like, but almost instantly reacted and struggled to resist, "Who are you? Let go ..." Before she could finish the sentence, her mouth was covered and she couldn't say anything.
"Bad man, let go of my mom!" Esteban rushed over and pushed the man as hard as he could.
The man lifted his leg and kicked Esteban away.
Paulina screamed in pain as she saw Esteban fall hard to the ground, covering her stomach in pain, and tried with all her might to free herself.
She tried with all her might to free herself, but her strength was too great and she was dragged to safety.
At this time of day, there were very few people in the mall, and there was no one around the corner to help her.
The thought of this made Paulina even more frightened.
The only saving grace was that... was targeting her and had no intention of taking Esteban with them.
The moment the door to the secure hallway closed, she closed her eyes and said Mark's name in her mind.
...
Marcos bought his dessert and walked out of the store, still not seeing Paulina and Esteban, and he couldn't help but feel a little worried. "Dad, why aren't mom and brother here yet?".
Marcos patted Sweety's head, "Maybe they've gone to another store, let's call mom and ask."
He pulled out his phone and dialed the number, he hung up just as it rang.
She couldn't help but frown and dial again.
This time, surprisingly, it went dead without further ado.
Noooooo!
Something had to happen.
Marcos had a bad feeling in his heart.
He picked Sweety up and ran quickly to the mall counter, entrusting Sweety to the mall staff to look after her for a while.
"Sweety, be good. Daddy's going to get Mommy and brother, so stay here and don't wander off, okay?"
"Okay." Sweety nodded willingly.
Instead of going elsewhere in the huge mall, Mark prepared to go back to the candy store once more.
He was halfway there when he ran into Esteban, who was planning to go to the help desk to announce himself and Sweety.
Esteban saw him and ran straight to him, red-eyed but avoiding shouting, "Daddy! They've taken Mom."
"Where have they taken her?" asked Mark quietly, holding his shoulders and suppressing his anxiety.
Stephen pointed in the direction of the safe passage, "The safe passage around the corner, up ahead."
Marcos looked in the direction he pointed and his eyes twitched.
"Esteban, go to the service counter and look for your sister and stay there until she returns." Marcos pointed toward the service counter.
Esteban pursed his lips and nodded earnestly before tears rolled sharply down his face, his voice cracking with sobs, "Dad, you have to bring Mom back....' "Mmm, Daddy promises." Mark stroked her head before turning and running into the safe hallway.
They grabbed Paulina and carried her through the security tunnel to the subway parking garage. Once in the parking garage, she was blindfolded with a cloth and fear grew as her eyes darkened. "Okay, we got the guy. Okay, I'll take them to him."
At those words, his hands clenched into fists.
Who was it?
Who was it that wanted her?
"Take her to the car."
At a man's command, there were footsteps rapidly approaching, dragging her in one direction. Paulina knew in her heart that once she was dragged to the car, she was truly finished.
As her mind churned, she struggled roughly and bit down on the hand that gripped her wrist.
The other man let go of her in pain.
This was her chance.
On a hunch, she lifted her leg and kicked sideways, right into the person.
He screamed in pain, cursed "bitch," grabbed her hand and twisted it.
Paulina screamed in pain, but calmed down and asked in a stern voice, "Who are you, what the hell do you want?"
"Mrs. Paulina, it doesn't matter who we are, what matters is that someone wants to see you."
"Who?" Paulina had a vague idea who it was.
"You'll find out when you go to see."
At those words, the other man pulled her forward forcefully.
"Wait, I want to go to the bathroom." Paulina said hurriedly.
"Mrs. Paulina, don't play games, you won't get away with it here."
"Who wants to play smart, I really want to go to the bathroom." Paulina clasped her hands together, her heart fidgeting. There was silence all around.
Only after a moment did the man who had grabbed her order, "Take her in there and make sure you keep an eye on her." "Yes."
At these words, Paulina secretly sighed with relief that she might find an opportunity to escape.
"
