Love Comes To Me

Chapter 1506: It Seemed Justified

While eating dinner, Mr. Juan noticed Sweety's red eyes and frowned, "Sweety's been crying?"

His eyes shifted to Paulina and Marcos.

Paulina nodded, "Yes. I was just crying."

"Has someone been harassing you, little girl?" asked Alvaro quietly as he reached out and pinched Sweety's nose.

Sweety shook her head, "No one bullies me."

"Then why are you crying?"

Without waiting for Sweety to respond, Marcos spoke up, "A new teacher, not used to it."

"Another change of teacher?" Ms. Gloria was surprised, "Didn't we just get a new teacher two days ago? What is it with kindergartens and changing teachers so often, aren't you worried that the children won't be able to adjust?" "Mom, it's actually ..." Paulina sighed and continued, "It's because Sweety's favorite teacher has been replaced."

Ms. Gloria frowned, "You mean Teacher Juanetta has been replaced?"

"Hmm."

Everyone else gave a look of understanding, Sweety had been rambling for the past two days about how good Professor Juanetta was once she got home, not hiding her fondness for Professor Juanetta every time.

Ms. Gloria thought about it and said, "Since Sweety likes that Professor Juanetta so much, I'll talk to the kindergarten tomorrow and let Professor Juanetta come back to Sweety's class."

"Really?" Sweety's otherwise subdued little face lit up instantly, her big eyes full of anticipation.

"Of course. But you have to be a good girl and finish your dinner tonight." Ms. Gloria gestured with her eyes to the rice in the bowl in front of her.

Sweety nodded busily, "Yes, I'll be good and finish it."

Paulina and Marcos looked at each other and said, "Mom, you don't have to do that. It will make the kids think our family is privileged and they can get anything they want."

"I know. But look at the kid's eyes all puffy from crying, if you're not distraught, I am."

Ms. Gloria's words gagged Paulina for a moment.

How could she not feel sorry for Sweety?

She didn't think it was a good thing that Juanetta was still Sweety's teacher.

Marcos squeezed her palm, gesturing for her to calm down.

Paulina turned her head to look at him, her thin eyebrows slightly furrowed, "I really don't want to do this."

"I know. I'll work it out." Marcos put a piece of rib on his plate, "Eat first, then we'll talk."

...

When both children were asleep, Paulina came back into the room and saw Mark sitting on the bed looking at his computer.

"Do you really want mom to do that?".

Marcos closed the computer and set it aside, pulling her to sit on the edge of the bed before speaking slowly, "Tomorrow Juanetta will be leaving daycare."

At that, Paulina's eyes widened in surprise, "You're going to let the daycare open?"

Marcos didn't answer directly, but said, "There's something I haven't told you."

"What is it?" asked Paulina.

"I ran into Juanetta at the clubhouse last night."

"And?" Paulina didn't answer for a moment and just assumed Juanetta was there with a friend.

"So..." Marcos was silent for a few seconds, "What do you think she was there for?"

Paulina froze slightly before responding expansively, "You mean ..."

"Just what you think." Marcos said, "I was the one who asked Alfredo to contact the director of the daycare and have her change teachers. But..."

He paused, "Now it seems the best thing to do is to let someone go before she does. Otherwise, I'm afraid having her back as Sweety's teacher will affect her development." Paulina nodded and agreed, "You're right."

"Don't worry, I'll take care of this. Hmm?" Mark fixed his gaze on her small, clear face.

Paulina smiled, "Good. I'm not worried, I'll leave everything to you."

...

The next day, Ms. Gloria went to the kindergarten director and told her of her request.

"I want you to put teacher Juanetta back in Sweety's class."

The kindergarten director frowned with a look of difficulty, "I'm afraid that's a little difficult...".

"Difficult?" Ms. Gloria laughed, "Is it that hard to change classes?"

"If it was just a class change of course it would be easy, it's just that..." the head groundskeeper paused, "Juanetta has been expelled from the nursery."

"Expelled?" Ms. Gloria was a little surprised, "What kind of mistake has been made for this to have been expelled?"

"I'm sorry, but I can't tell you exactly why."

Ms. Gloria raised her lips and finally said nothing, "Okay. I understand."

Since they had said they couldn't tell her, she couldn't ask any more questions.

Only that Sweety might be upset for a few more days.

Just as she thought, Sweety was upset for a few days, but she was a forgetful child and quickly went back to her old self.

Paulina's heart was finally back where it belonged.

The days passed calmly.

The day came for Bonita's check-up. Alvaro was away on business and could not accompany her, but he did not feel comfortable, so he asked Paulina to help him. Paulina agreed without saying a word.

Marcos was worried about the two of them because of the stalking that had taken place shortly before, so he sent some bodyguards to accompany them.

Fortunately, Bonita had booked an appointment in advance and had all the tests done in less than an hour, and finally sat down with Paulina in the living room to wait for the blood test report. Suddenly, a familiar figure appeared in Paulina's eyes.

It was Juanetta.

She said something to the nurse and turned around and headed for the self-service report machine.

Paulina thought about what Mark had told her, that Juanetta would be working in the clubhouse because her father was sick and needed money.

The thought made her unconsciously get up.

"Sister-in-law, what's wrong?" Bonita looked at her, puzzled.

"Bonita, I have something to do, stay and wait for me right here."

With those words, Paulina quickly followed Juanetta who came out with the report.

Juanetta took the report to the inpatient department at the back of the outpatient building, Paulina didn't dare follow her too closely, she could only follow from a distance.

Seeing Juanetta enter the elevator, she didn't dare follow her, but watched the numbers slowly go up until she stopped at number 4.

So he pressed another elevator, went up and pressed the button for the fourth floor.

When he reached the fourth floor, he walked from room to room and reached the last room in the hallway before he saw Juanetta. She stopped at the door and looked inside.

The room was a triple room and Juanetta's father was sleeping in the first bed next to the door. Juanetta was wiping her father's face with a towel, and his back looked especially slim and slender. For a moment, Paulina felt that she and Marcos had gone too far.

If she really had to choose to go because she wanted to save her father... actually, it seemed justifiable.
