Chapter 141 Alaric, Are You Okay?
"Miss, we've arrived." James reminded. Galatea answered Alaric's call and, following his instructions, had James drive her there. James parked the car in front of the building as Alaric directed. Galatea peeked outside and saw a five-star hotel.
Alaric just wanted to escape from everyone at home and have a quiet night, so after some thought, he booked a presidential suite at the hotel to avoid any disturbances. Galatea, guided by the room number Alaric provided, went inside the hotel to find him. It felt strange, considering their unfriendly encounter the last time they met at a hotel. Unexpectedly, Galatea and Alaric arranged to meet at the hotel again tonight. Galatea felt a mix of nervousness and anticipation about what might happen this evening. "CEO Ambrose, Galatea has entered the Milan Hotel." Ambrose's private bodyguard informed him as soon as Galatea entered the hotel.
"Milan Hotel?" Ambrose was stunned. Galatea had gone to the hotel late at night, so Alaric must be there too! After the call, Ambrose grabbed his car keys and quickly headed out. Ambrose swiftly arrived at the Milan Hotel and, at the front desk, asked the receptionist - Linda Williams. "Hello, do you still have a presidential suite available?"
"We have one left, sir." Linda replied.
"So, there are two presidential suites in this hotel, right?" Ambrose had done his homework before coming.
"Yes, room 8808 is still available."
"Which means room 8807 is already taken, right?"
"Yes, sir." Linda confirmed.
"I'm quite particular about my accommodations. I'd like to see the room setup before deciding." Ambrose handed over a black card. "Could you have someone show me the room, please?" People with such black cards were usually very wealthy, and Linda naturally didn't refuse.
"Of course, sir."
So Linda led Ambrose to the top floor. As they passed room 8807, Ambrose's eyes instinctively narrowed. After inspecting the room, Ambrose finally chose a room where he could see room 8807 from the window. Galatea arrived at room 8807 in Alaric's instructions. It was still a presidential suite, spacious and luxurious.
"Alaric." Galatea called out as she entered, and she was familiar with everything.
"I'll be right out. Just wait a moment." Alaric's voice came from the bathroom.
Feeling particularly restless, Alaric had immersed himself in the bathtub upon entering the hotel room. When he heard Galatea enter, he emerged from the bath and turned on the shower.
Now, in the hotel room, Alaric was bathing again, and Galatea couldn't help but sense some suggestive undertones. Her mind raced with thoughts of what might happen after Alaric finished bathing.
If Alaric wanted to have an intimate intensity, she wasn't sure how to respond, as she had no experience in such matters.
When Alaric emerged from the bathroom, Galatea's heart skipped a beat. She looked at him, her face flushing suddenly.
With water droplets still clinging to his hair, Alaric's head hung slightly forward, occasionally letting drops fall. The steam in the bathroom added a hazy allure to his features, accentuating his charm. Clad in a loosely draped bathrobe that exposed his toned chest, Alaric exuded a strong sense of restraint.
Galatea averted her gaze momentarily, then said, "I thought you would come to find me or invite me to your place, not expect to meet at a hotel."
"It's quiet at the hotel." Alaric replied, shutting off his phone once Galatea arrived.
Galatea understood Alaric was in a bad mood, but she didn't want to pry further for that reason.
"Are you okay?" Alaric had just been discharged from the hospital, his body not fully recovered yet, and Galatea asked out of concern.
"I'm fine." Alaric reassured her, then apologized sincerely, "I'm sorry for what happened this time, for involving you."
Due to Orion's sudden clarification that she wasn't Caspian's mother, the comments section was filled with harsh words directed at Galatea, which were particularly hurtful.
"It's okay, just some uninformed netizens. I don't mind." Galatea said. "You don't need to worry. As long as I have a clear conscience."
"Indeed, having a clear conscience is enough." Alaric approached her, gently embracing Galatea and lightly kissing her ear, saying, "Thank you for being with me tonight and lifting my spirits." "If I can make you feel better, then my visit wasn't in vain." Galatea replied tenderly.
"Any questions for me?"
Alaric had been insisting to Galatea that Orion was Caspian's mother, but now that Orion had publicly clarified the matter, Alaric was afraid Galatea might think he had lied to her. "Yes." Galatea inquired. "Just one question, you said Orion was Caspian's mother. Were you deliberately deceiving me?"
"No." Alaric answered.
"Okay, then I have no further questions."
"Is that all?" Alaric was surprised that Galatea only asked that one question.
"As you said, the past is in the past. Besides, you came out tonight seeking peace and clearing your mind. If I keep bringing up these past matters, it defeats the purpose of your escape." Hearing Galatea's words, Alaric smiled appreciatively and remarked, "My future wife is truly understanding."
Galatea surprisingly accepted the title of the future wife.
"I want to meet Caspian." After Orion's clarification, Harry's reaction deeply moved Galatea.
Although she hadn't met Caspian before, Galatea empathized with his feelings and felt a strong sense of compassion for him.
Galatea wanted to meet Caspian.
Alaric smiled. In fact, Galatea had already met Caspian before, and she just didn't know it.
"Why are you laughing? Do you agree or not?"
"Of course, I agree." Alaric said. "But as I mentioned, be prepared mentally. Otherwise, you might be quite shocked."
Galatea truly didn't understand what Alaric meant and retorted, "Are you overthinking it? I won't be scared by Caspian at all! I'm a female surgeon who's used to performing surgeries on bodies, and I have a strong nerve." Alaric nodded approvingly with a smile, "That's right, Dr. Galatea is a fearless female doctor who's not afraid to perform surgeries on bodies. You have a strong nerve."
"You're being sarcastic." Galatea quipped, then asked Alaric. "Did you take the medication prescribed before leaving?"
"No." Alaric replied.
Galatea was infuriated to hear that Alaric hadn't taken his medication.
"The most annoying patients for doctors are those like you who don't follow medical advice!" Galatea scolded, then asked, "Did you bring the medication with you?"
Alaric didn't respond but instead embraced Galatea from behind, lowering his head to lightly kiss her neck, causing Galatea to feel a sudden jolt as she stood there motionless in his arms.
