Chapter 242
Elisa was at the Chandler family villa in Lannopolis.
She was in the garden. She asked Jaxon eagerly, "Well? Do you have any good news?"
Using his laptop, Jaxon searched through the news on the black market's official website. He looked sullen.
"Many assassins accepted the bounty, but no one has succeeded just yet," Jaxon said with a frown.
Chaos had stirred nonstop in the black market lately, and reports of the deaths of many well-known assassins were circulating.
"All these silver and gold ranked assassins are trash! Is Dustin really that hard to kill?!" Elisa snapped.
Jaxon raised his eyebrows and sighed.
Even if he explained everything in detail to Elisa, it would just fly over her head because she did not understand the world of martial artists and the underground, despite her constant arrogance about her influence in the underground. "Didn't you hire an ace assassin? Can he do it? If he can't, let's just hire someone else," Elisa said impatiently.
"I contacted the Lotus Sect yesterday. They're a huge sect in Honora. They once served the Wyatt family. If we give an order for them to serve us, they wouldn't dare disobey us!
"I heard that the Lotus Sect has plenty of elite fighters. They shouldn't have to make too much of an effort to kill Dustin."
Jaxon's eyes flashed in excitement.
The Lotus Sect had been famous in Honora for years, and their name still intimidated many people.
They were different from the Verdant Gang and the Panther Gang. They were not ordinary gangs but were a proper sect that focused on martial arts.
While they talked, Jaxon suddenly received a notification.
Jaxon opened the message and was delighted.
"Frost did it! He killed Dustin!" he said excitedly.
"What? He did it?!" Elisa was delighted. "That ace assassin is pretty good. I've decided. Let's give him a hefty tip!"
"Frost said that he has Dustin's
head,
we go to verify h we are to bring the mont
identity," Jaxon said. Cimorel
"Let's go! I want to see his head now!" Elisa was ecstatic.
Both of them packed up and left for the meeting place Frost had mentioned.
It was a secluded area.
"Where are you, Frost? We're here with your pay!" Jaxon called out.
Soon, Frost walked out from the darkness with an icy face.
"Where's Dustin's head? Show it to me!" Elisa shouted eagerly. She was ordering him around this time.
But Jaxon noticed that something was off about Frost.
"What happened to your arm?" he asked.
"My entire squad was eliminated to assassinate the target. I lost an arm too," Frost said slowly.
Jaxon was stunned.
An ace assassin's squad suffered such terrible things?
Elisa was not interested in that.
"Your job entails a lot of risk. You can't earn good money so easily." She pulled a long face. "You lost a few assassins, didn't you? Don't worry We'll pay you the full twenty million. Also, I'll give you an extra ten million, but you'll have to show me Dustin's head first."
Jaxon's face turned red with rage.
How stupid was Elisa?
How could she order an ace assassin around like that?
"Thirty million? How very 'generous' of you!" Frost looked up, and his eyes burned with murderous rage.
Assassins did not let their emotions
into their jobs, but the squad he trained was entirely eliminated, and he was frustrated with that. So, how could he possibly tolerate Elisa's remarks?
