Rebirth In Divorce: My New Mr. Perfect

Chapter PERFET 249

Chapter 249

Regardless of whether Yoselin's recent episode was caused by Yasmine or not, it's been such a long time since the treatment began, yet she hasn't improved. Previously, Yoselin had a series of frequent episodes, and even though nobody knew why, everyone believed that someone undergoing treatment shouldn't be having them, let alone being exposed in front of everyone like this.

Yoselin screamed in terror as if she had seen the most horrifying thing in the world, a look so terrifying that even seasoned reporters accustomed to major scenes felt a chill down their spines. Urena tried her utmost to comfort Yoselin, but no matter what she said, nothing worked.

Yonas was in the middle of a meeting, completely unaware of the situation unraveling. Ignoring the presence of other board members, his assistant hurriedly knocked and entered the room Seeing Yonas's displeased look, the assistant leaned in and whispered in his ear, "Yoselin is in trouble." Then, the assistant showed him a video recorded by the media moments ago, adding, "Ms. Russell had an episode."

Yonas immediately halted the meeting and headed downstairs to drive to Aurelith University. As the assistant drove, Yonas watched the video of Yoselin with a furrowed brow. "When did this happen? Where did Yoselin go?"

The assistant replied anxiously, "Ms. Russell has been at Ms. White's place these past few days, as per your grandpa's orders. This afternoon, Ms. Russell left the White Group, and just three hours later, a van dropped her off at the gates of Aurelith University." "Investigate. Find out who she's been in contact with recently, and where that van came from." He paused before continuing, "And make sure to find out if Irene knows anything about this."

"Ms. White is also headed to Aurelith University," the assistant reported.

Yonas realized that something major had happened, and Irene was somehow involved.

Although the trip to Aurelith University typically took half an hour, the assistant managed to get there in just over ten minutes.

As soon as Yonas got out of the car, he noticed Yoselin being surrounded by media reporters at the school gate, with Urena shielding her. He quickly got out, his expression icy as he approached. Strangely, when he arrived, the reporters all respectfully lowered their cameras, fully aware that this was a man they dared not provoke.

Yonas took Yoselin from Urena's arms, protecting her trembling body.

Another car pulled up, and Irene got out. "Yonas! What happened to Yoselin?"

Yonas's gaze was chilling, and his eyes were equally cold as he looked at Irene.

Without hesitation, Irene abandoned her car and

got into Yonas's vehicle, "Yoselin?" she asked as Yoselin let out an incessant

In a deep voice, Yonas commanded, "Let's find Yasmine."

Irene's expression faltered briefly before returning to normal. Only then did Yonas east a glance at her, "Yoselin left from your place."

Irene said, "Yonas, Yoselin doesn't like learning management skills, but Grandpa Nathan insists. Yoselin doesn't enjoy it but still comes over, and she's often bored. I agreed to let her go out and have some fun, but most times she goes to find Yasmine. That's what happened today too. I don't know why this happened, but I really don't know."

Seeing the panic in her eyes, Yonas believed her. After all, Irene had no reason to hurt Yoselin. But he was puzzled as to why Yoselin would suddenly fall ill out of nowhere. What on earth had happened during the three hours she was away from the Russell Group that triggered such a severe relapse?

Chapter 249

Irene said, "We need to get Yoselin to the hospital quickly. Ms. Sanchez has been caught up in such a big scandal recently, if by any chance...

"It was my idea to have Ms. Sanchez as Yoselin's psychologist. I am confident in her abilities, do you have any objections?" Yonas's words were sharp and cutting, as it was really hard for him to speak kindly to Irene while seeing Yoselin in this state.

Yonas spoke softly, "Irene, I once tripped over a ditch on the road, thinking I should fill it, but for many reasons, I didn't. However, if I trip over it a second time, perhaps what I need to do is not just patch it up. I might need to dig it open, clear out all the rotten branches and leaves inside, and then fill it back up properly."

Irene swallowed and said, "I don't know what you're talking about."

"It's okay if you don't understand, just remember it," Yonas said.

The car quickly pulled up outside the Sanchez residence. The assistant went to knock on the door while Yonas immediately called Yasmine. "Yoselin is having an episode, please help her." Before Yonas could hang up, Yasmine had already ended the call and was out the door in less than a minute. Yonas picked up Yoselin in his arms, and she curled up fearfully, seeking comfort in his embrace.

Once inside, Yasmine was too busy to notice Irene, rushing Yonas to lay Yoselin on the couch. Yoselin was still shaking, her head hung low, murmuring, "Don't eat me, don't eat me..."

She repeated her whispers, puzzling Yasmine. Don't eat me? Who would want to eat Yoselin? Did she mean it in the literal

sense or...?

Yasmine quickly fetched the medicine from her bedroom, along with a glass of water, helping Yoselin take it. After a few minutes, Yoselin seemed much better, although she remained huddled up. This time, she looked up at Yasmine and silently grabbed her hand, tears starting to fall.

Yonas and Yasmine were baffled, while Irene looked visibly distressed.

Yasmine gently patted her back, "Don't worry, Yoselin, no one's going to eat you." She placed a pillow in Yoselin's arms and wrapped her snugly in a blanket, turning the temperature down; what Yoselin needed now was a sense of security.

Irene and Yonas watched her go through all this. When Yoselin finally calmed down, she stopped crying, but her hand still clung to Yasmine's, unwilling to let go.

Yasmine breathed a sigh of relief and said, "She's feeling really insecure right now, but what's going on? What happened to make Yoselin react like this?"

Yonas shook his head, "By the time I got the message, Yoselin was already at the school gate, and things didn't look good." "Do you have any idea where she's gone?" Yasmine asked curiously.

"We're already looking into it-she went out this afternoon," Yonas replied.

Just then, the assistant approached and handed them some surveillance footage. "Mr. Russell, Ms Russell left the White Group at 1 PM, took a car to The Starlight Stage, and hasn't come out since. Our people checked the backdoor footage and found that a van had been parked there all along. It left the South Pastures Roundabout at 1:30 PM, then made its way to the Russell Group... and then it vanished."

The assistant glanced at Yonas's expression and continued, "Shortly after, the van reappeared around 4 PM at Aurelith University's gate, and the rest is history."

"Where's the van now?" Yonas asked coldly.

The assistant shook his head, "The van disappeared at South Pastures Roundabout. The license plates are fake, so there's nothing more we could trace." 2/3
