REBORN UNDER THE FULL MOON

Lyla's pov

Sitted around me were hunters who stared at me with a sense of disgust and hatred. I couldn't figure out some of their minds or how felt about me in their midst like one of day.

"I called this meeting here today because of the creature in our midst. She has been living as one of us and no one has said nothing. Whenever we step into our territory, they slaughtered us, so why can't we do the same to her. " A man in his mid 40s said.

I didn't know if I should have felt offended. Being called a creature was one thing but suggesting to kill me was definitely not okay.

The man who talked didn't seem like he was the one in charge. He wanted to act like but I could tell. I suspected someone else to be the head.

"I told your already. A prophecy needs to be fulfilled and you have no say in this. " Aria said.

That solves it. It wasn't him who was in charge. I did suspect someone. A man who seemed a bit younger than the guy who was talking. Not young either. He was composed and I noticed that the slightest chances he got, he looked at me. "How dare you? Do not for one second think that because you are a witch I can't kill you. Because you're just as bad as any of them. " he stated.

Aria scoffed, "You want to kill a witch? Haha... it would be very funny to see someone of your caliber give it a try. Remember you're just a mere human." Aria defended herself.

"Mere human? We'll see about that." And with that he made his way towards Aria who sat close to me.

I looked at Aria but she didn't make any move. I could see she wasn't scared.

"Enough!! "I heard someone shout just as the old not so old man was few steps away from Aria.

And with that, he returned back to his sit. I knew he was the leader. It showed, he seemed to be respected.

I didn't know if he liked me or hated me. It didn't show the way it should on the other man.

"We all know that werewolves are not allowed after the borders. Whenever one of us go into town, they end up killed. " the man explained.

And that was the first time I knew how he felt.

He was hurt by several death of his people just like I was.

"I am not in support of a werewolf living amongst us but the witches say a prophecy needs to be fulfilled that would benefit us. Aria, if you may. " he said as he signalled Aria with his hands to speak. "Thank you, Ansel." She said.

I wasn't used to people's name around here. It was just Aria I knew.

"I told everyone of you here about the prophecy. Everyone of us play a role in the prophecy. We are not meant to throw her out or kill her, we are to help her till she's ready." Aria explained.

Me and Aria discussed that it would be best to tell them everything or they would never trust me.

"Ready for what?!" the same man said again.

"I was getting to that, Elijah." she answered Elijah.

"Lyla, is the last surviving member of the moonlit pack." She said and I started to heat gaps from different corners of the meeting.

"She is the daughter of Alpha Zeus." she continued further.

"That's impossible. Zeus daughter is dead. She died going after Ryker of Rouge pack. I don't believe this. And besides she looks nothing like Lyla. "I heard Elijah say.

I didn't like him at all. Out of everyone here, he seemed the least happy about me. I didn't know why he was so bothered. I get that they don't like my kind but he was the only one speaking against me. "She's been dead for five years, did you really expect her to be the same teenager your knew?"

I coughed and everyone stared. I didn't care, I'd been dead for five years and no one thought it was important to tell me.

I looked different but I felt exactly the same as before.

"She's been dead for five years? If the prophecy is really true, why did they have to wait until five years after her death to resurrect her?" Elijah asked.

He hated me but his question made a lot of sense. I was also eager to hear the answer.

"She needed to come of age first before her reincarnation. The witch mother also made it so she wouldn't be recognized by her enemies." Aria stated.

"So how does she being reincarnated benefit us? "I heard Ansel ask.

"We both have the same enemy. She was reincarnated with powers so we can work together. " Aria explained and it became clear to me.

"You want us to work with the very creature we have been trying to kill for several years. Creatures who slaughter our kinds during full moons. That is who you want us to side with?" Elijah stated angrily.

"I never slaughter anyone. My pack were the Moonlit pack and we never killed anyone. We never slaughtered humans. That was never our legacy.

My father was a very honourable man who fought for justice. He went up against Ryker for both our pack and the humans who were powerless and los their loved once.

Ryker did this not my father, Zeus. The only regret I have is that I wasn't strong enough to take down Ryker and it led to my death and the death of my people.

I can still remember the smile Ryker had on his face as he killed my people. I will make sure he pays.

I didn't know when I said this but I couldn't let Elijah keep saying such about my pack.

I saw Ansel looking at me. I felt like he believed me. He was like me in a way.

I looked at Elijah but he wasn't still convinced. All I saw in his eyes were hate towards me.

He was taking everything too personal. If Rouge pack did something to him,I had no idea.

"

"Okay, since it's the Queen Mother. Aria wouldn't lie about that. She can stay. No one tries to hurt her or your will face me. That would be it." Ansel stood up and walked out majestically. "This cannot be happening!!" I heard Elijah say before living with anger.

Everyone began to leave, some stayed to talk about me. I heard them mention my name.
