REBORN UNDER THE FULL MOON

I suddenly felt a wave of jealousy but I quickly acted like nothing happened and I waved towards them.

"Oh, hi Lyra," she said as she approached me.

"Hi, how are you?" I smiled but it was a stiff smile.

"I am fine. I like the idea of the pack for all species, it is very amazing and I think you are a great luna and you will protect your people," she smiled at me.

"Thank you," I smiled genuinely this time.

"Yeah, Kyle was showing me around," she said as Kyle smiled at me.

"Hi," he said as he moved forward to hug me.

We hadn't really seen each other for a while and I missed him.

"Hi," I smiled at him.

"How about we talk later, since Aria is showing you around and I am showing Kiera around," he said to me.

"Yeah," I nodded looking at Aria who smirked at me.

"Why were you looking at me like that?" I said to Aria.

"Hmm, well maybe because I could see you were jealous and trust me it is a very funny look on you." Aria teased. "What do you mean? Why will I be jealous?" I asked.

"Because your man was showing another lady that looking drop dead gorgeous around," she raised her brow.

"I don't understand what you mean by that and for the record, Kyle is not my man. He is my friend." I said fiercely. "Mhmm. He is your friend. Friends eat each other's faces." Aria laughed and I looked at her with wide eyes. "W.. What do you mean by that?" I asked her immediately.

"I mean that I saw you guys," she laughed.

"What do you mean you saw us?" I asked.

"Don't make me spell it out for you Lyra, anyways let us continue to the nursery. We completed the building two days before you woke up and that is the only place I haven't showed you yet," Aria continued to lead me to the nursery. "Oh wow, it is so beautiful. I will be so happy when it is put to use. I will visit this place regularly," I smiled.

"Exactly what I thought," she smiled at me.

"Anyways now we are done with the tour of the renovated pack. And you can resume your duties as luna. I am tired of working in your shoes. It is really tough," Aria laughed.

"Okay ma'am," I moved my head like she was my mistress and I her servant.

"Don't be ridiculous," she laughed as me moved towards the house I recognized as hers.

"Hi again," I turned around to see Kyle.

"How are you?" I asked him.

"No, I should ask you. How are you?" he said.

"I'm good. Just a little bit sore but it will be fine in a few days," I smiled.

"Sorry. Maybe I could give you a massage to help you feel better," he winked and my entire body flushed.

"No, I'm good," I said quicky as I turned red.

"Hmm," he nodded with a smile.

"Anyway, let us have lunch together in the new restaurant in the pack," Kyle asked.

"Hmm okay, let me change into something else," I said to him.

"I'll wait here for you," he smiled.

I quickly changed and followed Kyle to the restaurant.

"So, why did you choose this restaurant?" I asked him as we walked towards the restaurant.

"I like the feel of the restaurant and I want you to experience it too," Kyle smiled at me.

"Aww, thank you. That's so sweet.," I said with a smile.

We made it to the restaurant and as we were about to enter everyone came out and shouted, "surprise!"

"Oh, my gosh!" I said startled as my heart beat calmed down and I turned around to see all my friends around me.

I burst out in laughter as I realized what they were doing. They were throwing me a welcome back party and it warmed my heart. I smiled at Kyle then hugged him. I hugged everyone and told all of them thank you as they told me they wanted to do something good for me.

I was very happy as I spoke to them. "Everything is perfect and how it is supposed to be. Cheers to joy, peace and happiness. May our happiness know no bounds and only good things will happen to us hence forth." I smiled at everyone and the party started.

Little did I know that this was the beginning of the end.

KYLE'S POV

I wanted to do something good for Lyra, these past few days have been nothing but pain, I really missed her and I have been thinking about wat she meant to me and our relationship and I realized that I loved her. I loved her with everything in me and I was just waiting to tell her.

When I got the news she had woken up I was overjoyed, I really wanted to be the one to show her around but Aria beat me to it and it wasn't a bad thing. I just wanted to spend more time with her. but Aria already took her for a walk around the pack showing her around and Kiera had been disturbing me to take her for a tour around our pack. She wanted to know what it was like for all the species to live in perfect harmony. So, I took her on a walk and we were talking until I scented her.

My heart started beating fast as I turned around to see Lyra. Kiera walked towards them and Lyra smiled at her but it didn't reach her eyes and I felt what she was feeling because she was still connected to me by her hair strands. It was pure jealousy.

How didn't I notice it before, she must have recognized Kiera and she didn't like her because she thought Kiera was her opposition. I would think so if I like someone too. Like someone? Lyra likes me! I realized.
