REBORN UNDER THE FULL MOON

Chapter 8: Prophecy Unfolds

Lyra's

pov

I finally remembered. I remembered everything the Rouge pack did to me. What they did to my father. How could I have forgotten something as vital as this?

My whole pack was gone and I was the last surviving member. He killed everyone. Ryker killed everyone. He killed every single person and laughed about it.

I sat on my bed, recalling all the scenes that displayed itself in my dream. I couldn't believe it. My family was gone.

Tears rolled down from my eyes. Anytime I tried to wipe it off, it just seemed to fall harder.

I stared at the colourful paintings on the wall with a mix of agony and anger. I didn't know which one I should have felt the most.

"Are you okay? " Aria asked as she stood at the door staring at me. If she had been standing there for a while, I had no idea.

I didn't give her a response. I wanted to but I just couldn't. She walked into my room, one step at a time until she was finally at sitted on my bed.

"I know you must feel sad right now. It's not your fault." she said tapping my shoulder.

"No. You have absolutely no idea how I feel. You don't know how it feels like to just wake up one day and have all that emotions rushing in all at once. So don't tell me you're know how I feel like, because you obviously don't."

I knew Aria was a nice person. I mean, she literally stood up for me. In the midst of werewolf hunters, she vouched for me. Talk about bravery. She believed in me for details reason but I was too overwhelmed in my own feelings and emotions to see through whatever her point was.

"Okay, fine. I have no idea what you are feeling like right now. I shouldn't have said that to yourself. I am not trying to make your feel bad or anything. I'm just trying to help yourself because I know it's a lot to take in at once." Aria was trying her possible best to comfort and I appreciated it. The fact that she was from a family of hunters.

"It's fine. I'm sorry I sounded rude." I said cleaning up my tears.

Crying wasn't going to do me any good. Ryker was going to pay.

"I know this isn't the best time. But remember when I said something about a prophecy before?"

She asked and I looked up and met her eyes. Yeah, she was right. She did mention something like that but I never paid much attention because I never had my memories but now that I do. I needed something, anything. "Yeah, I remember you saying something about the prophecy. What was It again?" I asked still staring at her.

"The prophecy states that someone would be reincarnated and that person would end the Rouge pack and ryker for everyone and everything he has destroyed. She would be the last of her pack. The last female alpha. She would be reincarnated with special abilities after dying and come back to claim what is hers. '

I looked at aria in awe. Was all this really about me. Special abilities, I didn't feel like I was special. I just felt like the old me who was defeated by ryker. "Special abilities? What abilities?"

I asked.

"Abilities like super speed, super strength, ability to sense danger from afar, ability to know that wolves are around you and many more. Aria stated.

"I don't feel any of that. I just feel like the regular me. The old me which Ryker had no problem defeating. Super strength? Super speed? All these didn't help me then, why should I trust this prophecy. All this should have helped me save my people. " I said in anger.

"You didn't have any of this as of that time. That was why your were an easy target of Ryker.

That's how he is, he derives joy in causing people pain. He doesn't know the honor of being a werewolf. Not hurting anyone of his kind. All he is after Is some stupid power.

She explained like she had been offended by him personally or he did something to her.

"How do you know so much about werewolves?" I asked out of curiosity.

"A friend of mine was a wolf. Her name was Lyka. She wasn't anything big but she was a member of your pack. I saw her being slaughtered by the Rouge pack and I just stood there and did nothing. No one knew of my friendship with her unless she would have been killed earlier by my town."

I didn't know the Lyka she talked about but I could feel the pain in her voice as she talked to me.

"It has always been of me to destroy ryker but I can't possibly do that. So, when I heard your pack was going after the Rouge pack, I was happy. But when you were killed I lost hope.

Until I had a vision about the prophecy. In my vision I saw your reincarnated but the witch mother and I knew we were given another chance. That's why you're were granted greater strength to defeat him." she explained to me.

"Bit I don't feel any of that strength. How does we know any of this is real?" I wasn't convinced yet.

"Because I saw it. I know what I saw. You're might not have access to your powers now but your will soon. All your need is practice. Your powers won't just evolve anything, only when truly needed. That was also in my vision. You must also be really strong to be able to wield the power. If you aren't strong enough, it would overwhelm you. That whole power is too much for one person so you need a lot of practice."

"If this is true. I guess Kyle is of good use."

I said.

"I'm guessing you don't know. Kyle is ryker's son."

She stated.

"What?!" I exclaimed. I definitely did not see that coming.

"So you mean to tell me I have been training with my enemy's son." I scoffed. Wow, they really had this planned out.

"That's why I advise you to stay away from him."

"No. He doesn't know who I am yet unless his father would have attempted to kill. So he's trying to lure me.

I am going to do the same thing to him. Let him train me and he wouldn't see what hit him. They are all going to pay."
