REBORN UNDER THE FULL MOON

Chapter 80: Confronting an Unexpected Enemy

It was a poor joke.

"What I didn't know was that his linage was now my linage. I had cursed my children because I found out I was pregnant with not one but three children. All of them led hard lives. I had altered their fate and there is no way it could be changed unless they were reborn under the full moon. That is when the curse will undo itself.

I wish I hard done thing s differently and I learnt from my mistakes, when I went back I found that my husband I died from heart break and I was left to live with myself and my children I cursed. I learned from my journey that sometimes all you have to do is view things from the person side. You don't want to feel like everyone has betrayed you trust me it is not a good feeling. I broke my heart too in the process and I hurt everyone around me.

You my dear you are special and you have a lot of people that love you, yes they will break your heart but that is because they love you. When that happens dear child, please do not react like I did. If you feel you need things to change and you want to end the curse of our linage call on me and I will help you. But whatever time you take to heal when you have forgiven them return to them and let them know. So, they will not die of guilt. And in everything remember the love you have for them. I am proud of you and I will always be with you. Remember your path is hard but that doesn't mean it cannot be change, she said to me as she faded into thin air.

"Ah," I gasped as I woke up.

I turned around to look at Kyle and I felt like I was mentally preparing myself for a heart break.

"Good morning beautiful," Kyle said to me as he kissed my forehead and for a moment I felt like I could pretend the worst wasn't going to happen.

"Good morning," I smiled as I stood up and walked into the bathroom.

"How was your night?" he asked.

"It was short thanks to you," I laughed and he winked.

"Well, it is not my fault I can't get my hands of you," he said to me as he kissed the side of my temple.

"So, it is my fault?" I laughed and he shrugged.

"Lyra!!" Aria screamed as she ran into my house.

"What happened?" I asked as she startled me.

"Nothing, I just wanted to see you," she smiled at me.

I shook my head.

"Are you okay?" I asked her.

"Yup, so tell meee, how was the wedding nighttt?" she said in a singsong voice.

"Really? You are in my house this early to ask about my wedding night?" I asked.

"Mhmm," she nodded like an expectant child.

"Why am I even surprised," I face palmed myself.

Merida ran into my house and look around her eyes going back and forth between me and Aria

"I am so sorry Lyra, I woke and I didn't see Aria in the house and I just knew she came to disturb you," Merida said to me looking breathless.

"It's fine and I knew you tried to keep her inside but she was overly excited," I laughed.

"Thank goodness you are not feeling uncomfortable because of Aria, now what did she ask you?" Merida asked curiously.

"She asked me how my wedding night was," I laughed.

"Classic Aria." Merida shook her head.

"And how was it?" She asked looking really curious.

"Are you both for real?" I asked laughing.

"Yes!!" they both answered.

"It was good," I smiled.

"It was good?" Aria asked.

"Girl, we need something better than that. how will you just tell me it was good?" Merida asked.

"Yes girl, we need details. Tell us everything!" Aria exclaimed.

"Okay, okay," I raised my hands as I narrated everything to them.

"What you mean you slept this morning?" Aria asked and I nodded.

"So why are you still awake?" She asked.

"I had a weird dream," I confessed.

"A weird dream?" Merida asked.

"Yes, I have been hiding weird dreams and Kyle said he will tell me something at the right time. I cannot help but feel that my dreams are associated with what Kyle wants to tell me," I said to them and they looked at each other. "What?" I asked when I saw the look the both of them were giving me.

"Lyra we are not....."

"Luna, we are under attack!" A guard said as he ran into my home.

"What? Attack?" I said feeling confused as I went outside to see rogue wolves rushing into my pack.

"What they hell is going on here!" I said my voice boomed and everyone froze.

"You go the message didn't you," one of the mocked.

"Who sent you?" I asked as I froze them leaving their body paralyzed and only their face moving so they could answer me. "Our master sent us," one of the wolves answered.

"Who is your master?" I asked as my heart started beating fast and I felt unease settle in the pit of my stomach.

"I am their master," I heard a voice say to me and the hairs on the back of my neck rose.

I looked up and I heart almost left my body.

"F.. F.. Father?" I said.

"Yes, Lyra. Father," he laughed and confused filled my mind as I wondered how he was still alive and why he felt like evil.

It felt like his presence was corrupting the space. This wasn't how I remembered him. He had an element of dark energy now.

"I thought you were.... Ryker attack our pack and..."

"I lead everyone to believe I was dead for this very moment," he smiled at me and chills crawled up my spine. Something was wrong.
