REBORN UNDER THE FULL MOON

Lyra's pov

As I listened to the story about his childhood, I felt really bad for him. My eyes softened with every word he uttered. Worst of all he didn't know if it was his father that killed his mom out of hatred.

"That's why you remind me of myself. Just like you, no one trained me when I became of age. But you're worse." He said.

"How?"

I asked.

"You see. As a teenager, I trained myself but you are a grown woman who do not know the basics at all." he teased. Such a jerk. I knew he was just trying to annoy me but I wouldn't give in. Even if I was starting to get annoyed. "Ohh, after all the compliments about me doing well. You're finally showing your true colour." I attacked back.

"I never complimented you." he said with a shrug on his face.

"Oh yes, you did. What does you're doing great sound to you?" I asked.

"That isn't a compliment, dummy. I can tell that to..." he stopped.

He began to look around. "Dummy? Did you just call me a dummy?" I asked in disbelief.

"Shhh" he uttered.

"Don't tell me to keep quiet. You just called me a... "I was caught by surprise.

Kyle was covering my mouth with his hands While he searched around for something with his eyes.

The rate of my heart beat began to increase uncontrollably. This was the first time something like this happened to me.

It felt like something was crawling inside my body. "Did you hear that?" he asked and I came back to my senses immediately while trying to catch my breath.

"Hear... hear what?" I panted.

"Footsteps. Someone is running towards us." he said.

"You're the on with the super hearing so no, I don't hear anything. "I said and before I knew it we were hiding behind the bushes.

"Why are you hiding?" I asked after he used his speed to hide us.

"Keep be quiet." he ordered and I kept shut.

Not because I was scared of him but because I had nothing else to say.

"Lyla! Lyla!! "I heard Aria calling for me.

"Who's that?" Kyle asked.

"Relax. It's just Aria." I said and walked out of the bush before Kyle could say another word.

I came out and saw Aria panting. She looked like she just ran like Kyle. "Aria, what's wrong?"

I asked then Kyle came out of the bushes too.

"Kyle, I need your help. "I heard Aria say.

"Your need Kyle help?" I asked in shock.

Well, that was unexpected. She wasn't even looking for me, it was Kyle.

"What for?" I heard Kyle say.

"The kids, they're dying!" she shouted.

"What?!" I was shocked.

"What the hell happened?!!"

I shouted. I was unable to control my emotions.

When I left, they were okay. So what the hell happened to them.

"They were bitten by werewolves. We don't have much time. "

I didn't wait anyone else to say anything. I was out of the bayou within one second and back to territory in less than a minute.

When I got there, children where laid on the floor with Teresa elders around them. They were nothing less than ten.

I went closer to see them. Blood stains all over their body. They were losing a lot of blood.

"Why aren't you doing anything?!!" I shouted not knowing when tears dropped from my eyes.

"There's nothing we can do. We don't have the right materials here and we can't take them to a hospital. It's in town. " a lady who seemed like she had been crying for a while said.

Kyle and Aria arrived and everyone attention faced Kyle. "What the hell is he doing here?!" I heard Elijah ask.

I didn't know what Aria meant when she said she needed Kyle's help but I couldn't wait to find out.

"Elijah, stay out of this." Aria said.

"Don't your dare talk to me that way. You brought the very creature who did this to them into our territory." he asked.

"Elijah... " Aria was interrupted.

"Haven't you done enough. First you brought a werewolf girl into out territory and now a hybrid.

This cannot be allowed. "

Elijah said and brought out a knife.

He through the knife towards Kyle but Aria said something in another language which made it stop and drop to the floor.

He wanted to make another attempt but Aria was faster, "Incendia," Aria recited and Elijah began to scream.

"Ahhh... Stop. You bitch!! Stop this!!!"

He screamed in pain as he held his head.

"now you listen to me. Those kids are dying and we obviously don't have the resources to keep them alive. "I had never seen Aria like this before, she was fuming.

Elijah has succeeded on getting on her nerves. "And as we all know, a vampire's blood has the ability to heal them. So it's either we heal them with Kyle blood or we let them die. And trust me when I saw the blood of those kids will be on you." she said and let Elijah go.

Elijah dropped to the ground looking like he was rubbed off his strength.

"Now, if anyone has anything to say against my decision. Keep it to yourself unless you're will be going up against me."

She said and I looked around to see who would say otherwise but no one did. The kids were merely breathing.

"Kyle!! "I called out and he knew what he needed to do.

He bit his wrist which caused his blood to spill. He used his superspeed to feed all of them his blood.

I watched closely to see changes. Aria and Kyle stood confident while others stared along with me.

The wounds began to close up and each wound was healed.

I was mesmerized. I hugged every child there and made sure they were all okay.

Kyle turned to leave as he saw he wasn't welcome but I followed him. "Thank you." I said.

He turned around and looked at me. "It's fine. I didn't so it for you, I couldn't just see those kids die. That's it."

He added.

"I know but thanks anyway." I insisted.

"You are welcome. I'm sure Aria knows this but I just want to tell you too. Don't let those kids die with my blood in their system. " he added.

"What does you mean?"

"If they die with a vampire blood in their system, they become vampires too which means they'll need to feed. Aria knows this already, they have to be safe for 24 hours."

I was surprised but It wasn't the worst I've heard.

"Okay, I'll be living now." he said and turned to leave.

I turned and began to walk away. "And... " he started and I turned to him.

"You're right. I was complimenting you." he said and before I could respond, he was gone.

I found myself smiling.
