Revenge Of The Billionaire Girl

Chapter 102 How About Being My Lover?

It was hard for Sophia to tell if Drake's last statement was true.

She felt her heart leap into her throat.

Bard finally understood why his sister fell into this man's honey trap. He was simply so good at flirting with women.

"Mr. Riley, since Sophia said she would repay you, please let her go. We'll give you a satisfactory reward in the future, definitely."

Drake acted like a rogue. "I won't let go of Sophia until you figure out how to repay me."

He finally got Sophia in his arms, so how could he easily let her go?

Deadpan, Cecelia fixed her eyes on them. The expected accident did not happen, and she even accidentally helped Drake and Sophia stay together. What the heck!

Sophia knew how stubborn Drake was and said resignedly, "Mr. Riley, I can do everything except for being your wife."

"How about being my lover?"

A smile played on his lips.

Sophia was out of words.

Was there a difference between being his wife and being his lover?

"Forget it. Since you are so reluctant, I don't need you to repay me." With that, surprisingly, Drake let go of her.

Sophia forgot to get off her horse and instead looked back at him incredulously.

Drake had been trying hard to repress his desire for her, but she was staring at him with such adorable eyes, which made his repressed desire rise again. "Miss Lawson, why are you looking at me like that? Do you want to be my lover?"

Sophia, blushing, immediately jumped off the horse and came to Bard.

Bard stared fixedly at Drake. "Drake, you can never touch Sophia again in your life. Never! Sophia, let's go."

"Wait a minute!"

Bard said in exasperation, "Sophia, what are you going to do? Are you..."

Before Bard could finish his sentence, Sophia said, "My horse didn't go crazy for no reason. There must be something fishy."

Bard then realized this problem. 'Sophia is right. It's probably not an accident.'

Then, his eyes traveled from Cecelia to Aria and fell on Aria.

Aria wasn't stupid and looked at him incredulously, "You suspect me of doing it?"

"You were likely to do so."

Aria noticed the way Drake looked at her and she said, "Drake, I admit I don't like Sophia, but I won't do something like that." Anyone could see that this thing had nothing to do with Aria.

Then who did it was very obvious.

Cecelia said hurriedly, "It's not me either. How could I possibly do such a thing?"

Bard snorted. "Who else could it be but you?"

Cecelia was Flynn's sister, so Flynn defended her right away, "Master Bard, please do not jump to a conclusion that easily."

"You should know well your sister's character."

Flynn once again looked at Cecelia.

Cecelia shook her head in a hurry, "It really wasn't me!"

The staff member who had been bought off by Cecelia before said respectfully, "I'm sorry. When we were doing the inspection, we found a pin in the paw of that horse, and this may have caused it to go crazy." Sophia narrowed her eyes slightly. "The horse's stable should be cleaned thoroughly every day. How come there is a pin in the horse paw?"

"Well ..."

Sophia's remark made a realization hit Bard. "So, you had someone put the pin on the horse's stable on purpose?"

The staff member shook his head in a hurry, "No, that's certainly not possible."

Sophia had a cold face. "Listen carefully, if you can't give me a reasonable explanation, the responsibility of intentionally putting pins on the horse's stable must be borne by you."

The staff member had thought that he just needed to tell the investigation result and make an apology.

Out of his expectations, Sophia refused to let it slide.

If this matter was known by his boss, his boss would certainly hold him accountable and even fire him. What should he do?

He subconsciously looked at Cecelia, expecting her to say a good word for him.

But just a simple look made everyone look towards Cecelia.

Cecelia wanted to curse him, "an idiot", but in so many people's presence, she couldn't say that, or they would all know she did it.

She opened her mouth and said, "It's a matter of life. You should hurry to investigate it. What are you looking at me for? It's not like I did it."

Who did it couldn't be more obvious.

Flynn's face darkened. He knew his sister was unruly, but did not expect she would attempt to murder others. What else couldn't she do?

The staff member kind of understood that Cecelia didn't intend to speak for him, but he had no way to accuse Cecelia.

He just focused on taking the money and kept no evidence.

He, of course, knew exactly what to do.

The staff member knelt down and cried. "Miss Lawson, please let me go. I really didn't mean to do it. I didn't clean the horse's stable thoroughly and missed the pin, which led to such a situation. Just now I was too afraid to tell the truth. Miss Lawson, I'm sorry."

With her eyes narrowed slightly, she asked, "Tell me honestly, did someone order you to do this? You don't have to be afraid. I will take care of everything."

The staff member looked to Cecelia.

Cecelia immediately looked at him in warning.

The staff member had to lower his head and say, "No, no one. It's me making the mistake! I'll quit right away and never cause any more trouble."

Bard was pissed. Everyone here could tell Cecelia had something to do with this matter, but this staff member just refused to tell the truth. "Alas, you ..."

Sophia spoke up in time. "That's it. Since he admitted that he did it, let him talk to his boss!"

"Sophia, you..." Bard looked at her incredulously.

Sophia was very clear that the staff member would keep this secret to himself forever because he couldn't afford to offend Cecelia.

Well, she would have a lot of opportunities to teach Cecelia a lesson, so she would just let it slide this time.

"It's okay. Let him go!"

Bard more or less understood Sophia's meaning, so he had that staff member taken away.

Cecelia breathed a sigh of relief secret.

Sophia, however, glanced at them. "It looks like nothing good happens to me every time I meet you guys, so you guys have fun, we'll leave first." Chloe made a face at them.

Bailey touched his nose. 'This matter has nothing to do with him. Chloe won't put the blame on me, will she?'
