Chapter 108 Drake, My Student Is Coming to My Place
"OK!"
Along the way, the two said a lot.
Emma imagined various scenarios about their meeting, but she didn't expect them to have a good conversation and not be as awkward as she thought they would be. Maybe that was because they'd been in touch all these years!
When they arrived at the place, Emma took a look.
The scenery here was good, and it was a detached villa.
She said helplessly, "Actually, you don't have to arrange for me to live in such a nice place..."
Before she finished speaking, she was interrupted by Drake.
"Mom, I have a lot of houses, and they are empty anyway. You won't live with me for the time being. This is the smallest of all my villas."
He had been thinking about it a long time ago, so he specially arranged for her to live here.
In fact, he was really worried that he couldn't welcome her properly.
Emma smiled. "Okay, I see."
The things were put inside, and Drake showed her around.
After all, she just came back, and she might be a little tired after a long flight.
So, Drake took her to dinner.
On the way, Emma said with an graceful smile, "Drake, when I got off the plane, I called someone over. You would not mind my asking her over, would you?" "Of course not."
Drake had heard that Emma had been teaching a female student over the years, and that student happened to be in Sealand too.
He wanted to meet Emma's student, not because Emma wanted to set him up with that student, but simply because he was grateful to that student. Without her staying with Emma, Emma wouldn't be so outgoing and optimistic. "I'm relieved to hear you say that."
When they got to the restaurant, Emma's student hadn't come yet.
Emma sent her a message: Sophia, when will you be here?
Sophia didn't mean to be late; she was held up by her work and couldn't come over until she finished it.
-Ms. Glass, you and your son eat first. If I can't make it, I'll see you later.
-Hurry up then. I can't wait to introduce my son to you, and my son is very powerful in Sealand. Maybe he can offer you some help if you need.
-Understood, I will try my best!
Emma put down her phone. "Let's order first. She should be here soon."
"Alright!"
After being in contact for so long, Drake had known what she liked to eat, so he considerately ordered what she liked.
Emma smiled. "No need to take special care of me, Drake, I haven't been by your side to take good care of you these years, so I should be the one who takes care of you now."
"Mom, it's not easy for you to live alone in another city for so many years. Olivia doesn't dare to treat me badly. Now that I have grown up, I have the ability to take care of you. Do you understand?" Emma was very gratified to hear that. Her son had really grown up and become a responsible man!
The dishes were served quickly, and the mother and son talked a lot.
At about the same time, Emma found that Sophia hadn't come yet, so she sent Sophia another message: Sophia, are you here? If you didn't come, we may have finished the meal.
-I'm on the way. I'll be right there soon.
Putting down the phone, Emma smiled and said, "My student is coming soon. She is very beautiful. Drake, I believe you will like the girl I liked so much."
Drake smiled. "Mom, don't you think I'm handsome?"
"Of course, you're very handsome!"
Although it was the first time for Drake and Emma to really get along together, for some reason, he felt Emma, who was elegant, intellectual, and gentle, should be what a real mother looked like. "By the way, Aria..."
Emma was more worried about Aria than Drake.
When she left, Aria was only a few months old, and Aria didn't even know Emma's existence.
If Emma suddenly appeared in front of Aria, the latter would not be able to accept it!
"I'll bring her to meet you someday. There are some things she needs to know sooner or later." Emma nodded.
Emma's cell phone rang, and she said with a smile, "It should be my student!"
At the same time, Drake's cell phone rang unexpectedly.
"Well, okay, I see!" When he put down the phone at the same time, Drake had an apologetic face. "Mom, there is something urgent at the company, I may have to go handle it first." Emma couldn't help but feel disappointed. "It's okay. Anyway, you have a lot of opportunities to meet each other, so just go ahead."
"OK, I'll ask the driver to pick you up later."
"No need, my student can drive. She can give me a ride."
"Okay, Mom, I'll come see you after I'm done."
"Okay, just go!"
Drake stood up and stepped out to get into the car when he seemed to see Sophia.
Did she also come here to eat?
How ridiculous he was to ask such a stupid question. What else could Sophia do in a restaurant?
Then he got into the car and left.
As soon as Sophia entered the restaurant, she saw Emma at a glance.
Her teacher was always so radiant. No matter where she was, she was eye-catching.
"Ms. Glass!"
Sophia ran over quickly and gave her a big hug.
Emma had regarded Sophia as her own daughter over these years.
She looked at Sophia with a smile. "You look thinner. Did you have a hard time living here?"
"How come? I'm just too busy, so I can't gain weight no matter how much I eat."
"Are you hungry? I just ordered some dishes for you. They should be ready. I'll let the waiter serve them."
"OK!"
Sophia looked at Emma. "Ms. Glass, I think you look thinner, too."
"You must be joking."
"I'm not joking! You are slim enough. You'll be skeleton if you lost more weight!" Sophia pinched the flesh on the back of Emma's hand as she said. Emma smiled helplessly.
The dishes were served. While Sophia was eating, she suddenly thought of something. "By the way, Ms. Glass, didn't you say that your son is here? Where is he?" Sophia then looked around.
"He received a call and left."
"You just came back, but he left you alone." Sophia looked dissatisfied.
Emma smiled. "He's very busy. He wouldn't have left but for something urgent."
"Alright, just speak up for him!" Sophia couldn't do anything with it.
Emma really wanted to ask Sophia if Sophia knew her son. After all, Drake was very famous in Sealand, but she decided to keep Sophia in suspense.
She could introduce her son to Sophia when they formally met.
The two talked a lot. Sophia knew that Emma must be very tired as she had just gotten off the plane, so she sent her home soon.
Looking at Emma's living environment, Sophia nodded. "It's not bad here. Your son actually has a conscience."
