Chapter 1011
Three ladies and a little one stepped into the elevator.
Molly chuckled, "Anya, I can't believe you dashed over to catch up with us."
Anya grinned, "Hanging out with my aunts is a blast. Plus, Chad's going to be on my case, so I might as well stick with you guys. You'll have my back."
Mia smirked, "Your aunt can't handle your uncle either. I just happened to have the upper hand this time, so I'm going to savor it for a bit. But Molly, what you did back there was pure gold." Jade waved it off, "No biggie, I'm not worried. I've got the baby bump to back me up. But Mia, don't make up too soon, or you'll have a rough time ahead."
"What are you talking about, Auntie?" asked a curious little one.
Molly gave her a playful grin, "Sweetheart, just delay marriage as long as you can."
Over at the third-floor restaurant, Andre and Chad exchanged worried glances with their slowpoke nephew.
Andre said, "Whatever you said today, they won't buy it."
Leo sighed, "You both always tell me to show up later, make them feel like they're winning their little runaway game. To give them that sense of victory, I said the latest we'd arrive was today." But that clever plan backfired.
Leo, usually sharp, missed the mark this time.
He muttered, "And you're blaming me? You both fibbed too. We actually got here the day before yesterday."
Without a word between them, the two sly foxes had decided to claim they were exposed yesterday and stuck to that story.
Andre shook his head, "Even if we all agree on a time, Mia won't let us off that easy."
Chad nodded, "Exactly. Molly will grill us on what time we got here yesterday, making us answer in unison. One wrong move, and it's the cold shoulder for us."
Andre frowned, "Weird, why did Mia keep pressing about whether I love her?"
Leo suddenly remembered something, sitting up straight, "Uncle, there's something you might not know yet. It's kinda big."
The three sisters headed back to their room.
Since their cover was blown, they turned on their phones.
Seeing the flood of concerned messages, Mia reassured everyone.
A call from Hansen Cedillo broke the tension, "Mia, where did you run off to? Andre upset you, and you went running to your dad? I'll give him a piece of my mind with my cane.

My girl, why are you running around while you're pregnant? Just say the word, and Chad won't set foot in here.
And Anya, why are you in the middle of this? They were upset, but why did you tag along?
You three run off and take my grandson with you? I've been worried sick, couldn't sleep a wink last night." Switching to video, they showed little Henry's chubby face to the camera, "See, your grandpa just misses you."
Henry, sprawled on the bed, hugged the phone and "chatted" with his grandpa.
That afternoon, wherever the trio went, someone was always tailing them.
Henry's little voice kept calling "daddy," which pushed Mia's buttons. She spun around and plopped her son into his dad's arms, "Missing your dad, huh? Here, go to him. Let him find you a stepmom and enjoy your lazy days."
Andre quickly scooped the baby up and hurried after her, "Mia, it's not like what Conner Nettleton said. Let me explain."

Anya walked up to Leo, hands behind her back, "Chad, holding the baby must be a handful, huh?"
