The Billionaire's Mistake (Anya and Daniel)

Chapter 271: Trouble

"Yes, since she started it, should she end it?" Hanna pushed on. She hoped her grandmother would not let this go. Even if she failed to get Hazel to come to her wedding and express good will, she definitely would not let Hazel live a good life. "So, that is where the rumor came from. Do you all know how difficult business has been because of it?" Hanna's father walked in to the room fuming.

"What do you mean?" His mother asked.

"We have this new deal we have been trying to partner with others, but they kept saying, if I can betray my family, they cannot work with me. All day, this is what I have been hearing! I thought it was James Grey just messing with me, but now, this?" he explained. "Is something wrong with the company?" Hanna asked hurriedly. She was not the only one that wanted to know.

They were considered quite the affluent family for those who were not aware, but in truth they were at most a slightly richer. Their company could not even be considered under top one thousand in the city.

Hanna was worried. Her future in laws were equals to them financially. They more or less moved round the same circle. She already knew that her future m other-in-law only accepted her because their Greyson family was not below theirs.

If something happens to her father's company, her marriage could be in jeopardy.

"We are already having problems because James Grey is back and we are tied to a lot of his enemies. This deal was supposed to get us out of it!" Mr. Greyson said, "I don't care what you do. You better get that girl to fix this, or else I will disown you." he was addressing Hanna who could not believe her ears at her father's words.

"What nonsense are you sprouting!" Sandra shouted at her husband, "Why do you blame all these on Hanna? How is this her fault?"

"How is this not her fault? Wasn't she the one who had slept with her cousin's boyfriend. Now that girl is out to destroy our family, yet she doesn't want to take the blame?" he asked.

"What about you? Are also going to blame not pulling money out to treat your sister in law's illness on Hanna too?" Sandra fumed.

"Enough! You daughter better fix this, or else I will throw her out," he said and turned away.

"It's fine. I will go and see my daughter tomorrow," Sandra Greyson said and walked upstairs with determined steps.

In the Green residence, Hazel stood in her room and reevaluated her life. How did she get here? She couldn't believe she was now living with him.

Hazel could not help but start to pace around her room. What was she to do now? Did this mean she was trapped here forever?

He had said he would be coming to her room that night saying he was still injured and needed to be taken care of. What? Injured? Taken care of? She was angry, but could she protest? The moment she recalled this, she knew that she did not have much time to prepare. She saw that both her suitcases were placed in the large walk-in closet and immediately started to unpack. She took out her things and rushed into the bathroom for a quick bath.

But for some reason when she saw the very large bath tub, she was utterly tempted to sit in it. This was a temptation she could not pass on after all she had gone through this past few days. Completely forgetting her decision to basically and jump into bed before Marcus comes to her room, she ran herself a hot bath and got in. She sat in there for quite some time.

By the time she settled her mind, the water had cooled, so she cleaned up and walked out. When she stepped out in her towel, Marcus was already in bed reading.

She nearly cursed at the sight of him.

"Why was he still up?"

She had only just settled her mind, but it was running wild again. His hair was slightly damp and he was dressed in a white cotton tees and pajama pants. Something about him seemed unholy. She looked away and dashed into her walk in closet where she changed into her night wear.

She made sure to not wear anything that could seem seductive to the man on the bed. As godly as he looked, she was in enough trouble as it was.

She soon came out and climbed onto the bed. She got under the covers and laid quite far from him.

When he looked up from the files in his hands at her, she was lying far away. The bed was big so, she could pick the end and sleep there without touching him.

Annoyed by this, he reached out and pulled her to him. Hazel soon found that she had been pulled into his arms and her whole back was now glued to him.

His grip was strong, and she dared not resist anyway, so she remained trapped in there.

"You should already know I am here. What do you mean by sleeping so far away?" he asked, putting down the papers in his hand.

"You don't expect me to crawl into your arms everyday, right? Are you a child who needs physical contact?" she answered and his grip tightened.

"Yes, I like physical contact. Since you are here, you might as well let me have it," he said.

"What does that mean?" she made to turn but his grip was tight.

"We still don't know what enemies of mine have their eyes on you. But this situation will not last. It is best if you play your part so your life can return to normal," he said. "Really?" she asked. The excitement in her voice at the possibility of leaving annoyed him.

"Till then, you are my wife and I can do what ever I want with you," He said placing his head on her neck and taking a deep breath.

By the time Hazel woke the next day,

it was deep into the day. She noticed that she was in Marcus's strong arms as it seemed he was stil

asleep. She attempted to getup but his grip was strong. FindNovel

"Where are you going?" he asked.

"It's morning already, are we still going to be in bed like this all day?" she asked.

"I am hungry, I need to use the bathroom," she said and he let her go. She entered the bathroom to clean up quickly. By the time she walked out, she realized he was gone.

"Why not?" he asked back.

This made her sigh in relief. She slowly took care of her matters before coming down. She wasn't what the rule for food was.

She wondered if he would let her use

the kitchen But the moment she

descend to the first floor, a staff walked over and informed her that Marcus was waiting for her in the dining room to have breakfast.

"Sit and eat," he said and she looked at the food in front of her. She had never seen this much food served as breakfast before for two people. Was someone else joining them? She wondered.

She was led to the dinning where Marcus was seated waiting.

She slowly took her seat and looked at all the food. She was not sure where she was supposed to start.

"You don't like anything here? I can have them change to something else," he said when he saw her hesitation.

"No, it's fine. I was just confused

with the amount of food," she said, only to pause. She just noticed that he was spreading butter on his bread and realized that he had very nice hands.

She quickly looked away before she got caught.
