Emily wanted to explain everything, but that woman wasn't having any of it. Her eyes were like daggers, ready to tear Emily apart.

Meanwhile, in the corner, Nola was chilling, munching on snacks, and watching the drama unfold. The more intense it got, the more she smirked.

A colleague nearby noticed and thought Nola knew the scoop. They quickly came over, eager for gossip. "Nola, is that mistress getting beat up the new girl from your office who started yesterday?" Nola nodded, still chewing her snacks, smirk firmly in place.

The colleague pressed on. "What's the deal? Is she really a mistress? I had a feeling she was trouble! I can't believe HR hired her. It's so bad for our company's image! If Mr. Smith finds out, he's gonna lose it!" Nola remembered how she got fined by Michael and Emily a few days ago and felt a surge of annoyance. She knew the woman wasn't actually after Emily-it was all a big misunderstanding.

But Nola, the only one who knew the truth, had no plans to step in. She figured this crazy woman could teach Emily a lesson. After all, Emily always acted so high and mighty because of Michael's backing. With that thought, Nola gritted her teeth and watched the chaos, jealousy burning in her heart.

"Ma'am, please calm down. This is a public place! If you keep this up, we'll call the police!" Emily tried to warn the woman.

But the woman didn't care. She seemed to have some connections, and the threat of the police didn't faze her. She just kept shouting, trying to paint Emily as an unfaithful mistress.

Emily stood her ground. "Fine, you say I'm a mistress. Do you have any proof? I've never betrayed my husband or interfered in anyone else's relationship!"

Seeing Emily's confident response, many people started to believe her.

But the woman didn't care about the truth. She picked up a folder and threw it at Emily. "What! You even have a husband? How ridiculous! Does your husband know you're a whore? Does he know he's been cuckolded?" "I didn't know I was cuckolded."

Just then, Michael stepped out of the elevator, with Andrew right behind him. His presence made the atmosphere even more tense.

Michael saw the woman freeze and took the chance to ask, "You look familiar. Is your husband Mr. Dobbins from Mountain Peak Grove?"
