Chapter The Third Book: Part 15
Slytherin had flattened Hufflepuff in Quidditch so Gryffindor was still in the running for the cup. The team seeker, Wood, had booked the Quidditch pitch as often as was possible so the twins were busier than ever. They would be readying for their O.W.LS soon. Ariadne was busier too. She hadn't caught one glimpse of the rat the entire time she'd been at school and her class schedule was becoming a lot harder to maneuver so she couldn't search. She heard the boys talking about how Hermione's cat had finally succeeded in its crusade to catch and eat the rat, but Ariadne knew that that meant the rat was loose somewhere on the grounds.
She attended the next Quidditch match between Gryffindor and Ravenclaw and was the only Slytherin to cheer for Gryffindor. She was sitting near Snape and he kept shooting her disgusted glances when she cheered the twins, but said nothing. She didn't really care who won, she just wanted to see the boys happy.
Toward the end of the game, three "dementors" entered the field and flew toward Harry Potter right as he was racing the Ravenclaw seeker for the snitch. Harry raised his wand and a silver stag burst from the end, sending the cloaked figures tumbling to the ground. He caught the snitch.
Ariadne noticed Snape flinch when he saw Potter's patronus. It made her chest feel like someone was squeezing it.
Snape was absolutely livid. Malfoy and his friends as well as the Slytherin Quidditch captain had all fallen to the ground in a pathetic heap. They poked out of the ridiculous black robes looking confused and dazed.
All of the teachers rounded on the Slytherin players, points were taken away and punishments were doled out. Ariadne met the twins outside the kitchens, they were in a fantastic mood. Fred picked her up and kissed her very hard then dove into the kitchens to start loading up on snacks to take up to the Gryffindor common room.
George caught her and kissed her more slowly. He pushed her up against the wall. She hooked one of her legs around his waist, enjoying it for the moment.
Antigone hissed quietly near her ear. "You shouldn't be doing that."
Ariadne had spoken to Antigone about her feelings toward the twins and how she was having a hard time settling her emotions. She loved Fred and George. George understood her better than Fred did, but he was still too eager for her to be physical with him that it made things awkward.
Her dreams about Professor Snape hadn't stopped at all. If anything, they got worse. The more things she'd done with the twins, the more graphic her dreams had gotten with Professor Snape. She knew it wasn't healthy, but she was a hormonal teenager. What was she supposed to do?
George groaned against her lips, pressing into her. "One more game and we might win the cup."
"You will win the cup." She smiled and answered confidently.
She knew they would be able to do it. He kissed her again, his fingers tangling into her long, black hair. He tilted her head back and kissed her jaw.
Antigone gave an annoyed hiss and slid under Ariadne's robes to twine around her bicep, away from George's face. He bit Ariadne's throat a second later. She whimpered pathetically, holding him close.
Fred cleared his throat loudly. George looked up from the pale skin he'd kissed red. Ariadne smiled sheepishly.
Fred's arms were overflowing with snacks and drinks, but he set them down so he could pull Ariadne away from George. He looked into her face for a long moment. She really didn't know what to say. It was just too easy to get swept along. They'd been easy for her to be around from the first day and even now, it didn't really feel uncomfortable for them to touch her so intimately.
Something was wrong with it though. She loved them, but she wasn't 'in' love and they knew it.
Fred's kisses came softly which was a little unlike him. He was being gentler with her and she had a feeling she knew why. His hands slipped down her body, coaxingly.
She allowed him to lift her up and wrapped her legs around his waist. He was already throbbing. He pressed her against the same wall, feeling up her legs while he kissed her. Antigone was hissing against her bicep, but she ignored it. Was it really so wrong to do this?
Fred was wearing his casual clothes at the moment, he didn't have to lift his own robe. His fingers teased so close. She trembled and gasped against him. She was about to give in to his craving.
George made a weirdly strangled sound and a very familiar voice asked. "And what the hell do you think you're doing in the middle of the hallway?" Fred dropped her.
Ariadne straightened up and stared, completely terrified. Professor Snape was looking murderously from the twins to her. Her blood pressure changed so fast she almost passed out. Fred looked like he wanted to bolt, but Professor Snape glared so ferociously he just froze in place.
Scared out of her wits for the first time, Ariadne acted completely on impulse. She grabbed Professor Snape's face and kissed him.
His body went so still, he felt like stone. She waved a hand frantically at the boys who grabbed the stuff they'd taken from the kitchen and ran as fast as their legs could take them.
Blood was pounding so hard in her ears, she nearly blacked out. She released the professor who looked a little ashen. His face was still furious. She gulped and Antigone made a very rude remark, slithering back up to her throat. Professor Snape managed to utter one word before he turned and walked away. "Detention."
She couldn't imagine how long that would last, but she felt it would be the rest of her time at school.
