At the infirmary of the Phoenix Legion's base in Avesburgli, Jordan retrieved the silver needles administered to one of the patients. "Alright. You'll make a full recovery after resting for about a week."

There were a few people in white doctor's coats standing nearby. They were doctors based at the Phoenix Legion's base and were a combination of traditional and modern medicine practitioners. They had to be of a certain standard to be a part of the Phoenix Legion, but at that moment, they couldn't help clapping their hands agitatedly.

"As expected of Dr. Cane's apprentice! You're amazing!"

"To think you're already so accomplished at such a young age. It'll only be a matter of time before you become one of the nation's best doctors!"

Jordan was long used to hearing flattery like this. After all, he was one of the best doctors among the younger generation. At least he hadn't shamed Wesley.

"Thanks for this, Joe. Things had happened so suddenly that my soldier would've been permanently affected by this if you hadn't been here," Xena said.

Her words pleased him. If they continued like this, the chance for him to confess his feelings for her would soon arrive. He said, "I was only doing my duty as a doctor. I need to talk to you about something, Xena." "Okay. Let's go to my office."

When they arrived at Xena's office, Jordan looked at her with bright eyes. "My mentor is coming to Avesburgh in a few days."

Xena didn't expect to hear that. It had been years since Wesley had made any public appearances, let alone treated anyone. He was usually focused on refining his medical skills. Why was he suddenly coming to Avesburgh? "Does he have something urgent to attend to?"

Jordan shook his head. "I don't know the details yet-it'll have to wait until he arrives. He's promised to take a look at Mr. Summers Senior, though."

Even someone of Xena's temperament couldn't suppress her agitation when she heard that. Wesley was ranked fifth among the top ten healers of Dragonia and a much better doctor than Xander.

"Joe, I... I really don't know how I can thank you for this," she said.

Jordan felt like she was worth jumping through hoops for when he saw her like that. Still, he said, "Don't get ahead of yourself, though. If even Dr. Fielding can't do anything about Mr. Summers Senior's condition, my mentor might only be able to give you some hope. He can't guarantee anything."

"I'm happy enough with that," Xena said.

Once Jordan left, Belle entered the office, looking grim.

Xena asked, "How is it? Have you verified it?"

Belle nodded. "Yes, ma'am. According to the confidential information we've gotten from the headquarters, we only have the right to know about Nocturno because they've downgraded him after his death. Inferno is also a Super S-ranked wanted criminal, and he's Nocturno's brother."

Initially, this piece of information had been nothing more than a rumor. The headquarters had never confirmed anything, not even when Xena had asked about it. She didn't know why it had to be kept confidential, but at least

they'd finally announced the truth after Nocturno's death.

Her phone rang. She answered it and frowned as she listened to the person on the other end of the line, Her temples throbbed. After hanging up, she said, "The headquarters is sending an Asura over here."

An Asura? Belle sucked in a breath when she heard that. Anyone who could become an Asura was the cream of the crop and only carried out special missions.

The war division handpicked these superb warriors, and they only reported to the chief as well as the Four Great Warlords. Not even Xena, a goddess of war, could order them around.

"If they're sending an Asura over, does this mean Inferno really might come to Avesburgh to avenge Nocturno?"

Belle asked.

Xena took a deep breath. "I can only say it's a possibility. It's always better to be safe than sorry, anyway. Of course, it'd be best if we could take Inferno out while we're at it." Belle couldn't deny that, but she also couldn't keep a hint of fear from flitting past her eyes.
