The Ultimate Husband

Chapter 5880

At the thought, Bowen wanted to end his own life, but his arms and feet were bound to the iron pole, and he could not move at all.

Was he going to be tortured to death by Tyson like that?

All at once, Bowen was nothing but hopeless. Suddenly, the image of Veron came into his mind, and he still smiled.

It was terrible that he was in that state, but at least Ninth Lady was fine.

What a pity it was that he would never see her again in his life.

Creak...

Just as Bowen was lost in his own thoughts, a series of light footsteps came from outside. The door of the dungeon cracked open, and a charming figure slipped through it. Bowen lit up upon seeing who it was. He thought that he was hallucinating things.

It was Veron.

Veron had woken up during the day, and she had spent the day infiltrating the grounds snooping around for news. In the end, she had heard that Bowen had been thrown into the palace dungeon, so she rushed over once night fell. Bowen stopped short, croaking out the words. "Ninth Lady! Am I dreaming? Is that really you?"

Veron did not respond, staring at him silently as her heart quivered and threatened to break in half. It had only been a little less than a day since they had seen each other, and Bowen had been tortured into looking barely human. He was covered in blood and filth, making for a terrifying and heartbreaking sight.

Veron could not take it any longer, bursting into tears as she leaped into Bowen's arms, hugging him tightly. "I've finally found you. Do you know how worried I've been?"

Veron had been sick with panic that anything would happen to Bowen, and her heart ached at the sight of him in that state.

Bowen's heart warmed at the sight of Veron, and he forced out a smile. "I'm alright, aren't I?"

Veron's chest ached harder at his words as she said, "That monster, Tyson. I'm going to skin him alive."

The next second, Veron bit her lip as she spoke coldly while loosening the ties on Bowen. "You big idiot. Why did you knock me unconscious? Do you know how worried I was for you?" Whew!

Bowen took a deep breath, flashing a smile. "One death is better than two, you know."

Veron glared at Bowen with red-rimmed eyes. "You're a fool! You're not dying anytime soon! No you're going to live. You hear that? You promised to recover my

memories for me, remember

QUMS

Veron's tone was reprimanding as she spoke, but her eyes were filled with tenderness.

Bowen nodded, smiling despite not being able to speak much.

His life was one worth living since he had found his soulmate.

Veron chided gently at him, taking out some healing balm. "Come on, stop grinning away. I got this earlier in the day. Come on, take it."

As she spoke, she put the medicine on Bowen's lips.

Bowen took the medicine, feeling a significant pain in his body dissipate before leaving the dungeon at top speed with Veron's help.

Bowen saw the riders guarding the dungeon dead in pools of blood and knew at once that it was Veron's doing.

Bowen was supposed to feel happy at the sight, but he could only feel an ominous wave of energy.

The next second, he turned to ask Veron, "Were these the only people here when you arrived, Ninth Lady?"

The palace dungeon was usually tightly guarded, and having that few people at the door was truly unusual.

Veron only wanted to leave with

Bowen, so she did not have time to

think of anything else as she

nodded. "Yeah! Only the lot of them. They were all really weak, and I killed them all in no time." FindNovel

As she spoke, Veron knitted her brows. Why are you still on that at a time like this?" Crap.

Bowen's expression shifted at the response, casting a wary look at his surroundings as he said in a low voice, "I don't think we'll be able to

leave that easily. Tyson is incredibly cunning. He wouldn't make an amateur mistake like this."
