Chapter 1954
Hannah was surprised to learn that the Austin family would be participating in the competition.
“How could they agree? I recall the young master of the Austin family…”
His tragic death at their guest villa remained unspoken as Peterson caught her drift.
“It’s not a big deal,” he casually dismissed.
Peterson elaborated, “The casualties from the other families were prime members, yet the Austin family is large.
They have many who can step in.
The one who is deceased is forgotten.”
Hannah felt a chill from Peterson’s dismissive tone and turned to face him.
With a smile, Peterson changed the subject.
“I know you excel at horse racing.
The horses we have this time are top-notch.
Would you like to try them out?”
“No, I’m not particularly interested in riding right now.”
As they neared the horse farm, an abrupt shout caught their attention.
“Hey! Don’t you see this is a horse farm? Get out of here! Quickly!”
Rodrigo was leaning against the fence, barking in their direction.

Accompanying him were several menacing figures dressed in black.
Hannah grimaced at the confrontation and tugged at Peterson’s arm, suggesting they leave.
“Let’s go.”
However, Peterson reassuringly held her wrist.
“You are a guest here, and you belong.
If my brother’s men disrespect you, I’ll handle it for him.”
Releasing her, Peterson advanced towards Rodrigo.
“Peterson!” Hannah called out, her worry evident as she followed him.
Rodrigo was known to be trouble.
Peterson approached the fence gate and moved towards Rodrigo.
Rodrigo, leaning lazily against the fence, eyed Peterson and asked, “What’s the problem, Mr.
Wagner?”
Without a word, Peterson strode up to him and delivered a sharp slap to his face.
The impact was so severe that a trickle of blood began to seep from the corner of Rodrigo’s mouth.
Dazed by the slap, Rodrigo covered his face and retorted, “I addressed you respectfully as Mr.
Wagner! Do you think you’re some kind of noble?” He snapped, his anger boiling over, “Screw you!”
Rodrigo then rolled up his sleeves, seized Peterson by the collar, and was about to strike, but Hannah intervened, grabbing his wrist firmly.
Peterson, unfazed by the aggression, calmly stated, “Apologize to Miss Moore.”
