Chapter 1971
“No,” she responded, collecting her thoughts.
“Let’s head to the training ground.
I want to see Faustina.”
“Understood, boss!”
At the training ground…
Charlie was still instructing her team.
Although the leaders of the other groups were still present, their motivation seemed lost since Conor had run away.
Many lounged around idly, knowing no one would hold them accountable.
Charlie was the only group leader who was doing her job.
Faustina, one of Charlie’s group, also lounged carelessly, clearly uninterested in participating.
“I don’t care what you do.
If you’re not here to train, then leave! If you don’t want to stay, no one’s forcing you!” Charlie snapped at Faustina, her expression cold.
“Why should I leave? I’ve done nothing wrong!” Faustina retorted, crossing her legs and ignoring Charlie.
Leaning back lazily, she continued, “And is training really necessary right now? Mr.
Compton is absent, and we have no tasks.
Stop pretending.
All the other group leaders are on break.
Why don’t you join them instead of pushing yourself so hard?”

Glaring at her, Charlie said through gritted teeth, “Say that again!”
Faustina raised an eyebrow, unflinching.
“What? Did I say something incorrect?”
Amidst their argument, a noise came from outside.
Everyone turned to see Hannah enter with Dilan and Dotson.
The once-sluggish group instantly straightened up.
Charlie’s expression changed as she saw Hannah.
“Miss Moore!”
“Well? Am I interrupting something?” Hannah asked, glancing casually at the group before focusing on Faustina.
Faustina’s demeanor shifted to nervousness.
Why on earth did this woman come back at this time?
The others pretended to resume training as Charlie approached Hannah, speaking apologetically.
“Miss Moore, regarding Mr.
Compton… it was our fault.”
“It’s fine.
I’m not here to cause any trouble,” Hannah said with a wave of her hand.
With that, she turned her attention to the group pretending to train.
“It seems some of you no longer wish to be part of the organization.
The Compton family’s money isn’t handed out for nothing, and training takes time and effort.
If this is your attitude, perhaps it’s best you leave.”
The training area was still.
A few seconds later, the other captains, having received word of Hannah’s presence, returned to the training ground.
Eyeing the group, Hannah arched a brow.
“I assumed you’d found greener pastures, but it seems you’re all still with the Compton family.”
