Thread of Illusion

Insanna POV

I put Rusty and Davina on a path to freedom. I have a lot of work still to do here. I have to deal with Reid. As the bodies of the perverts lay dead at my feet, their blood dripping from my mouth I see him. The women run for the door escaping the hell of the eleventh floor. Some have been here for years. They will all need refuge from the lives they lost. A fresh start a new beginning. When the memories fade and they realize they have been in an illusion for five, ten, or maybe twenty years they will need help. I can only deliver the justice for them. The rest is up to someone else. Right now I need to deliver Reid into the dark world to suffer for this.

Reid the last of the perverts standing will be the most difficult. He will fight me. My song cannot lure him and I cannot lure him into my bed. I will have to fight him head-on.

"You don't have to kill me," he screams at me.

"Oh Reid you know I do not bargain with those beneath me," I say to him.

Reid circles around me. I stay still. He keeps walking around and around. He has no idea how to fight me. All I need to do is sink my teeth in him just once. Once I sink my teeth in him he will be mine. He knows what will become of him. He has no one to help him fight me. All that is left in this room is me and a few of the women.

I begin to sing my song.

"That does not work on me," he says.

"I know but it works on them," I say.

The women stop trying to escape their hell and come to my aide. I sing them to me. They begin to gather around Reid. He laughs at the thought of all these women he has held captive taking him out. They will not kill him. They cannot kill him. That is for me to do. I will watch as they beat him.

They start picking up random objects throwing them at him. A blond woman grabs a stool and begins hitting him with it. Reid is distracted from me and my teeth. This is all I needed. I continue to hum as the women bash him over and over. They can't hurt him but they are a great distraction.

I open my mouth wide as I rush Reid. I sink my teeth into him and begin biting his neck. I bite into him slowly. I want his death to be a long painful death. I chew at him. I pull flesh out of him. I keep going until I separate him from his head. Reid lays at my feet in two pieces. I spit his flesh out of my mouth.

The dark lords will come for him now. They will drag him back to hell and punish him in ways I only wish I could. My job is done with Reid.

I walk past the women humming for them to follow me out of the eleventh floor. It is time to go. I have to deliver Sidney back. They follow me to the stairs. We make our way down the levels to the lobby.

As we come out the doors into the lobby I see Larry. Fucking hell I forgot about Larry. One more man to do away with. He was just as involved. He thinks I do not know. I see into him. I see how he lured women here for Reid. I know what he did.

"Larry," I say to him as he approaches me.

"What is going on?" he asks.

"I am not stupid Larry," I say to him as I expose my teeth and take one more man out of this equation.

A young woman approaches me as I drop Larry's body to the floor. "What will we do? Where will we go?" she asks.

The crowd of women gathers around me. Shit. Not my problem, but I am feeling generous. Plus I have an idea. I go into the office. I pick up the phone. Let's see if I can use this damn thing. This will not work.

I close my eyes and begin to hum loudly I need Rusty to hear me. I need him to come back with Davina. There is only one way this can end.

As I hum the phone rings. Perfect timing.

"Rusty," I say as I answer.

"Is he dead?" he asks.

"They are all dead. Come back for Sidney. She will need someone with her when I leave her body. And I think I know where you two can go," I say. "Where?" he asks.

"I know you think your mother will help you but she is not going to be happy about Davina. Just get your ass back here. I think I can fix this and Davina," I say.

I go back out to the women.

"Listen up," I say loudly.

The women stop to listen to me.

"Anybody here ever worked in a hotel?" I ask.

A woman comes forward. "Me, I worked here for Reid," she says.

"Good you come with me," I say to her.

I take her back into the office. "Can you make everyone a room key so they can shower and rest for now?" I ask her.

"Yes I can do that," she says.

She grabs a stack of keys and starts making master keys.

One after another she makes each woman a master key. She hands them out.

"If we start on the third floor and just each take the next room until everyone is in a room," she says.

"Good girl," I say to her.

"What about tomorrow or the next day?" she asks.

"Let us just try to make it through tonight," I say.

"Right, I can help cook in the kitchen. I need a few people," she says.

"Okay grab a few of the women and handle that," I say to her.

I sit down to wait for Rusty and Davina. I begin to feel very weak. I did just murder a lot of disgusting creatures. I should be tired. I need to rest myself. It is a long journey to my next body and my next adventure.

I lay down on the couch in the lobby. As I lay waiting for Davina and Reid I see the dark clouds rolling in. They are here for the bodies. The dark lords will finish what I started.
