Alphas regret: Magnificent Return of the Rejected Luna

Chapter Rejected Luna 2

Chapter 2 Chapter

"I must be crazy. Why else would I have married him and tolerated these five years?"

I was once as proud as he was.

My daughters' final words to me were, "Mom, I just wish you could be happy every day..."

Even a child could see what I had been blind to for years.

My humility, my compromises, my desperate pleas had forced my precious girls to lower themselves in this house.

ep toward Lena, my daughters had to be polite.

Because everyone knew that Silas cared most about Lena, his so-called fated mate.

Only by pleasing Lena could they earn a smile from their father, a rare hug.

The years of humiliation replayed in my mind like a harsh lesson.

In that moment, everything became painfully clear to me.

But the cost was far too high for me to bear.

Looking at Silas now, all I felt was revulsion.

He stared at the divorce papers in disbelief, shaking them wildly in front of me.

"Throw this nonsense away! III pretend I didn't see it! I just went away for a few days, and you can't understand?"

"And while I was on the island, I arranged for specialists to assess our daughters' condition. I wanted to surprise you three. Why are you making such a fuss?"

When he mentioned our daughters' illness, tears welled up uncontrollably in my eyes.

"You knew both our daughters had heart conditions, yet you handed them over to thugs. You don't deserve to be called a father!" I shouted, my voice shaking with fury, "Run back to your first love if that's what you want! My children don't need a father like you! Don't mention them. You're not worthy!"

Silas's expression froze for the first time. He seemed to realize I wasn't joking.

"Our daughters are gone," I said, each word heavy with pain. "Their health no longer matters. All that's left is to sign those papers."

Only now did I truly understand my daughters' real wish. They didn't want better health; they wanted me to be happy.

But Silas scowled, irritated, "Rowena, did you say something inappropriate to them? They were just children. What kind of thoughts did you put in their heads? Can't you just be a normal mother?"

"The last time I brought Lena to visit them, they even asked if we could spend less time together because they worried it would upset you."

The sheer irony of his words made me sick. I had never felt the sting of these five years so deeply as I did now.

He had never been involved in our daughters' lives. He had barely visited them in the hospital, always by Lena's side instead.

As he saw my face growing colder, he sighed impatiently. "Enough. I work myself to exhaustion, arranging doctors, handling everything. Meanwhile, you're just sitting around in the pack doing nothing! Can't you find something useful to do to ease my burdens? I'll explain things to our daughters. Isn't that enough?"

"Divorce!" I said sharply. "All I want is a divorce from you!"

My words left him momentarily speechless, fury rising in his eyes. He had never seen me this cold, this determined.

Just as he was about to say something, Lena rushed over, gently taking his hand and patting it softly.

"Let it go, Silas. Don't forget you have so many matters in the pack to handle. If Rowena wants a divorce, let her have it. There's no need to waste, so much energy on her. I'm sure your daughters would understand..." Before she could finish, I lunged forward and slapped her across the face.

"How dare you use my daughters to put on a show!"
