Chapter 1165
When Rosalie reached the car, she secured Steve in the baby chair in the car.
Right after she shut the door of the back row of the car, Justin ran over to her.
"Rose."
"Justin, I told you to go home and rest. Why did you come out here? You haven't fully recovered."
"It's fine, I'm feeling much better now. Let me drive." He was worried that she wasn't in a good state to drive given her current mood.
Rosalie did feel slightly faint, so she nodded in agreement and sat in the front passenger seat.
Justin opened the car door, sat on the driver's seat, and started the engine.
Sebastian and Yerick caught up with them. Both of them wanted to send Rosalie back, but they could only stand there fuming as they watched Justin and Rosalie drive off together.
Damn it!
Seeing Sebastian seething with anger made Yerick smirk. "Rose already divorced you. Look at how anxious you are, incapable of even keeping your wife by your side."
Sebastian's heart clenched; he pounced on Yerick, grabbing the latter's collar. "What did you say?"
"Didn't you hear what I just said? In that case, let me repeat myself. You're so useless, incapable of even keeping your wife by your side." Sebastian was furious; he clenched his fists, wanting to punch Yerick.
Just then, someone roared, "Stop!"
Wesley rushed over and immediately pulled Sebastian away and stood in front of Yerick, shielding him.
"Seb, what are you doing? How could you try to hit Yerry?"
Wesley protected Yerick as though he were Yerick's father. His tone and attitude didn't look like he was defending someone he had just known for a short while.
"So what if I hit him?" Sebastian scoffed. "Why are you so protective of this rascal? Is he your son?"
"You..." Wesley's face turned dark with displeasure. He charged toward Sebastian and grabbed the latter's collar. "Quit talking nonsense. My mother was just buried and here you are, trying to attack someone. Who asked you to come? You're just an outsider! What right do you have to be here?"
Wesley shoved Sebastian hard. Sebastian didn't counter him, taking a few steps back instead.
"Wesley, what are you doing?" Sydney ran over and immediately held Sebastian steady. "Seb, are you alright?"
At that voice, Sebastian turned
around to see a look of concern on
Sydney's face. He furrowed his brows, finding her reaction very strange. Pulling his arm away, he said, "I'm fine."
Wesley was confused to see Sydney so protective of Sebastian.
Before he had a chance to speak, Sydney spat, "Wesley Spencer, why did you push him?"
"He was bullying Yerick!" Wesley pointed a finger at Sebastian and went on, "Why are you so protective of him?"
"What about you? Why are you being so protective of this brat?" Sydney shot back.
"I..." Wesley was suddenly at a loss for words.
"Godfather, I'm fine. I'm sorry for causing you trouble. I'll make a move first," Yerick said with an innocent look on his face.
Sebastian scoffed at Yerick's
address of Wesley. "So he's your
godson. No wonder you're so
protective of him. This rascal is quite
good at being people-pleasing."
"He's my godson, so of course I'm protective of him! If you dare bully Yerry again, don't blame me for being nasty!" Wesley roared.
"Wesley Spencer, don't even think about laying a finger on Seb," Sydney warned, "or I'll be nasty too!"
They were being protective of their respective sons.
"Syd, do you know what you're saying? He's Sebastian Carter! Why are you being protective of him?" Wesley demanded. Sebastian was supposed to be an outsider to Sydney. Wesley didn't understand why Sydney was being so protective of him.
"He's my boyfriend's nephew. It's
perfectly reasonable for me to be protective of him. You got yourself a godson, didn't you?" Sydney retorted.
"Syd, I..."
Wesley wanted to explain himself, but Sydney cut him off irritably. "Enough, please don't."
Sydney turned around and said to Sebastian, "You should head back first."
Sebastian didn't want to stay here too long. He straightened out his black suit and glared at Yerick one last time before turning to leave.
