Flora’s Guide to a Second Chance at Love and Life

The folks from Club 257 and Empire Base were elbowing their way inside. A few got jammed at the door, stuck for a while, but Kruz, quick as a flash, slipped through like a slippery fish. This really ticked off Jules. "You young folks, ever heard of respecting your elders?"

He felt like his old bones were about to be squashed!

"Flora! Your favorite person is here!"

His voice reached before he did, and Flora, lounging with a pillow, turned to see him burst in, her eyes clearly showing annoyance.

"Keep it down, you're hurting my eyes."

"How can my talking bother your eyes?" Kruz felt hurt. How could Flora be so harsh? He knew she was pregnant and had rushed over without even eating.

"Because the way you talk is, well, kind of ugly."

Kruz felt his heart break.

Flora had actually said that!

And she said it with those blinking eyes, looking so serious and cute that he couldn't even muster a comeback.

Meanwhile, the rest from Club 257 and Empire Base shuffled into the villa.

From Club 257, there were Jules, Louie, and another Jules. Empire Base sent Adrian and four of their top guys. "Ma'am, we've brought some gifts for the future little boss," they said with a grin, unloading their bags on the floor. They put a lot of emphasis on the "little boss" bit.

The Club 257 crew was instantly irked. Why should their kid be the little boss?

The baby Flora's carrying should be the future heir of Club 257, rightfully!

"Flora, we brought you some things too," Jules said with a soft smile. His severe nearsightedness left his eyes looking misty and full of warmth, making him seem gentle and kind to everyone. "You've just gotten pregnant, your first baby, so you must be feeling off and maybe a bit nauseous. We've got you the best prenatal vitamins and some snacks to help with that."

"Alright," Flora replied lazily.

"Hey sis, being pregnant must be tough. Don't do anything, just relax all day," Adrian said, worried Flora might overexert herself. "Let Connor handle everything."

As soon as she got pregnant, she was treated like a treasure. Raul and Henrik pampered her, and Amanda flew in from abroad to stay close, bringing her goodies every day. "Flora, I've also got some prenatal education videos and books for the baby!" Jules added, cheerfully placing a big bag on the coffee table, pulling out book after book. Flora glanced over.

Human Anatomy, Medical Testing, Medical Imaging, Human Physiology...

These were prenatal education books?

Her baby was only two months along; was this even suitable?

"Heh, I've got some prenatal books too," Louie chimed in, eager not to be left out, pulling out books about Fashion Design from his bag.

"We've got something as well!" piped
