Chapter 1323
She'll be the next medical wonder after you!"
"Hey, check me out!" Jules chimed in, not wanting to be left behind. "Flora, with your knack for medicine, any kid of yours is gonna be a genius. Let's kick things off with some medical know-how, huh? Once she's born, I'll be there, teaching her everything, step by step. Louie jumped in with a knowing nod, "The fashion world needs a new star, and who better than your kid, Flora?"
Kruz was itching to suggest that Flora's child should get into racing, but with Connor in the room, he kept his mouth shut. He knew Connor would toss him out if he dared to speak up.
Listening to them map out her child's destiny, Flora couldn't help but laugh and roll her eyes. It seemed like everyone had already charted out her child's future.
Just as she was about to weigh in, Connor sauntered over with a clear fruit platter in hand. Clad in a black shirt and gray pants, his tall, graceful presence was hard to ignore. He handed her a cherry, then casually perched on the sofa's armrest beside her, draping an arm over her shoulder. From afar, it seemed like Flora was nestled in his arms.
Connor couldn't resist softly running his fingers through Flora's silky hair.
Turning to Kruz and the rest, he said coolly, "We appreciate the gifts, but you can take these random books and DVDs back."
"Yeah, take them back," Flora agreed, popping a cherry into her mouth and nodding along with Connor.
The group looked a bit put out.
"Why send them back? Wouldn't it be great for the kid to learn more? If she starts now, she'll be way ahead of the game." "Exactly! She'll leave other kids in the dust!"
"My kid doesn't need to pack on all that knowledge," Connor said with a laid-back vibe. "Happiness is what really counts." Reflecting on his own challenging childhood, filled with regrets, he knew how much Flora had been his guiding light.
So, for his child, happiness was the only goal he had-just a good heart and character, nothing more. To be brutally honest, being born into his and Figra's family meant the kid could live carefree if they wanted. They had more than enough to
support such a life.
"So, just take everything back," Connor gestured at the pile on the table. "These things will only spoil her childhood."
Once Connor laid down the law, the others, despite their reluctance, had no option but to pack up their stuff and leave, casting forlorn glances over their shoulders as they went.

But Connor and Flora didn't pay them any mind, with Connor gently massaging Flora's aching back.
Pregnancy often brought on backaches, and though he couldn't take on the burden of childbirth for Flora, he did his best to support her.
"Connor, do you have a preference
for a boy or a girl?" Flora asked, lounging on the sofa with her head on a pillow, feeling cozy and a bit sleepy.
"Either one's fine," Connor replied calmly. "As long as they're ours, boy or girl, I'll love them just the same."
After a moment, he added, "But a girl would be lovely. Someone sweet like you, Flora."
Boys could be a handful and might stress Flora out.
But truth be told, he loved the idea of having a little Flora around.
A girl?
Flora, still lying down, smiled softly when he mentioned having a girl.
Connor, you just might get your wish.
