Chapter 1324
Cedarvale. September.
The helicopter droned through the cloud-dappled sky before gracefully landing over the Irving family's sprawling villa. Down came the ladder, and first to step off was a man in a sharp suit, closely followed by a petite, well-mannered girl. The girl looked about seventeen or eighteen, with big, expressive eyes and an innocent demeanor.
Henrik personally escorted her into the Irving mansion, taking time to show her around. Once the first floor tour was done, he led her upstairs and opened the door to a room. "Fiona, this is where you'll be staying. It used to be your mother's room."
He turned, a hint of concern in his voice, "Fiona, we brought you to Cedarvale because you wanted to come, but you have to behave, alright?"
Fiona stood there with her white backpack, her long black hair cascading to her waist, accentuating her small, fair face. She smiled sweetly, nodding at Henrik's words. Her eyes, innocent yet mischievous like a little fox, twinkled as she replied, "Uncle, I get it. You've said it a million times. I promise I'll be good."
Henrik fondly ruffled her hair, "Good girl. We've got someone to look out for you. If anything comes up, give your uncle a call. Your parents are overseas, and it'll be a while before they're back."
Fiona kept up her smile, a perfect mix of sweetness and a hint of mischief.
She bore a striking resemblance to Flora but without the detached coolness. There was always a sense she was plotting something.
Fiona's name was Connor's choice, symbolizing his deep love for Flora. After a tough labor with their first child, a daughter, Connor couldn't bear the thought of Flora going through it again. Once she recovered, he made sure there'd be no more pregnancies. So, Fiona was their one and only, the apple of their eye.
All the big shots doted on her, hoping for great things. Yet, ironically, she didn't inherit any standout talents from her accomplished parents.
Weapon assembly? Clueless.
Medical skills? Not a chance.
Fights? A couple of thugs could scare her off.
Even so, they cherished her dearly, spoiling her rotten. It got to the point where Connor and Flora decided she needed some real-world experience, so they sent her off to Cedarvale.

Meanwhile, they embarked on a globe-trotting honeymoon.
They had their eyes and ears in Cedarvale, ensuring Fiona wouldn't face any real trouble.
"Uncle, it's getting late. Don't you need to head back to Maple Grove? Aunt's waiting for you at home Fiona said with a gentle smile.

"Good girl," Henrik replied softly, "I'll be off then. If there's any emergency, reach out to Baker or give us a call immediately."
Fiona nodded obediently, clinging to Henrik's arm as she walked him to the helicopter.
"Remember, no mischief. Focus on your studies. And steer clear of bars, okay?" Henrik reminded her, unable to hide his concern.
"Relax, Uncle. I'm the picture of innocence. Bars and booze? Not my scene at all."
Henrik wasn't entirely convinced but allowed himself to be ushered into the helicopter, the door closing behind him.
As the helicopter lifted off, Fiona's angelic smile faded, replaced by a glint of mischief. Squinting playfully, she tapped her cheek with her tongue and lazily picked up her phone. en FindNovel
"Mikey, let's hit the town for some drinks."
A voice crackled on the other end, "Whoa, boss, you're in Cedarvale?"
