Love Comes To Me

Chapter 1528: Two Birds with One Stone

The next day, Marcos returned to work.

As soon as he arrived at the office, he immediately called a meeting with senior management to organize the next work plan.

For several days in a row, Marcos and Alvaro left early and returned late.

Paulina and Bonita were heartbroken, but could not help but remain silent and supportive.

The company had lost a lot of money because of Juanetta's slander, but thanks to the efforts of Marcos and Alvaro, things were finally back to normal and all projects were being carried out in an orderly fashion. Not only that, but several clients have come to the company asking to work with them.

This is something Marcos and his team did not expect.

"Brother, do they really want to work with the Leoz Group?" asked Alvaro, a little worried.

He was afraid that someone would take this opportunity to fish in troubled waters and try to work against Grupo Leoz.

"I guess so." said Marcos.

"So we should consider working with them?"

"The project could be considered if it is suitable."

Even with all the accolades the Leoz Group is now receiving, Marcos is not relaxing.

He has also donated another 100 million to a medical fund dedicated to helping children with congenital diseases.

When the media reported the news, it caused quite a stir and the public was stunned.

They did not expect the Leoz Group to give up its charitable work after being vilified and mistreated, but rather to donate 100 million more.

Marcos' maneuver was met with countless appreciations and alerted the relevant authorities, who even sent someone to the Leoz Group.

"Mr. Marcos, thank you for making such a great contribution to charity and for having a heart for children with congenital diseases, we will make sure to spend all the money on them.

We will tell them that it was the Leoz Group who helped them and they will be grateful."

The other party spoke with emotion, but Marcos just said lightly, "That's what I have to do."

They also brought with them a medal from the Government to the Leoz Group as a "Solidarity Company".

The press they had brought with them photographed them.

It soon became known that the Leoz Group had been awarded the "Solidarity Company" medal.

Paulina, at home, saw the news and the corners of her mouth twisted.

On TV Marcos was as calm as ever, as if everything around him had nothing to do with him.

But this is the kind of person who has a really soft and kind heart.

The Leoz Group has been doing charity work for years, but Marcos doesn't like to brag.

Paulina is very proud of him and thinks he is the best of the best in the world.

Blythe and Winston had also seen the news.

Looking at the man with the elongated body, Blythe had mixed feelings.

This man, who should have been hers!

Blythe gritted her teeth and said, "If Paulina hadn't gotten better, Marcos wouldn't have bothered with the company and the Leoz Group crisis wouldn't have happened so fast!" The very mention of it gave her a pang of annoyance.

He had thought that such a horrible virus could not be contained, but Paulina recovered and was discharged from the hospital.

Something wasn't right!

Blythe detected something odd and turned her head, frowning. "How could they have developed such a potent drug in such a short period of time?"

"Maybe it's not a drug they've been working with." said Winston.

Blythe thought about it, "You mean someone else saved Paulina?". Winston nodded.

"Could... have been Bergerian?" it occurred to Blythe, "It must have been him! He must know the virus very well if he was able to control it in such a short time." With that, she snorted coldly, "He went to the trouble of implanting the virus in Paulina in the first place, and now he's saving her."

Winston raised an eyebrow, "It seems the ruthless Bergerian can't escape the word love."

"The word love?" Blythe froze for a moment in disbelief, "You mean he likes Paulina?"

"What other reason could there be for him to change his mind and save Paulina other than love?"

Blythe wasn't sure if the world was crazy, or if Bergerian was crazy.

It was unbelievable that even Bergerian was in love with Paulina.

"How come everyone likes Paulina?" said Blythe, not hiding a cynical expression on her face.

What was so good about Paulina that she deserved his affection?

"You're wrong, I don't like Paulina, I like you." said Winston flirtatiously as he walked over to her and wrapped his arms around her waist.

Blythe put her hands on his chest and glared at him, "If you like me, help me think of a way to stand up to Paulina!".

"Of course I have a way." Winston put his arms around her, "We can get Lisa to work with us."

"She's divorced from Bergerian and hates Paulina with a passion. And, most importantly, she has a lot of secrets about the Bergerian Institute drugs."

Blythe curved her mouth, looking pleased, "Why didn't you say something sooner if you had such a good idea?"

"It's not too late to say it." Winston narrowed his eyes, a grim look in them. "We'll just use it as a weapon, pointing it anywhere, and take the fall in a hurry." "How treacherous of you." Blythe let out a laugh, followed by a wink, "But I like it."

Winston's idea was genius.

Not only could they take care of Paulina and the others, but they would also be off the hook themselves, so it really was a double whammy.
