Chapter 1529: We Have a Common Enemy
Just thinking about how Bergerian had beaten himself up and had even come close to strangling himself for that bitch, Lisa's whole being was drowning in resentment.
Whatever it took, she had to get rid of that bitch Paulina.
But ever since Paulina was released from the hospital, she has stayed at home, barely leaving the house, and even when she does, she is surrounded by a bunch of bodyguards. There was no way the people she sent could do anything.
If she doesn't get rid of that bitch, Lisa feels like she's going to go crazy!
That night, she got a call from a stranger.
"Lisa, are you interested in working with me? I can help you with Paulina."
The person on the other end was a woman, with a strange voice, and she knew about her and Paulina!
Wary that Bergerian had sent someone to call her to test her, Lisa played dumb and said, "I don't know any Paulina, you have the wrong number."
As she was about to hang up, the voice rang again on the receiver, "Lisa, didn't Bergerian divorce you because he was in love with Paulina, are you happy with that?" Happy?
Lisa snorted, even if she was dead she wouldn't be amused!
The other person then said to her, "Trust me, I can help you."
"Who the hell are you?" asked Lisa sternly.
"I'm your friend, Lisa." The other man laughed softly, "Would you be interested in getting to know each other?"
Lisa hesitated.
She didn't know if they were telling the truth.
If Bergerian had sent someone to test her, she would be shooting herself in the foot if she said yes.
Perhaps knowing her fears, he told her, "Don't worry, no one will know we've met, you can rest easy."
Lisa thought about it and finally took a deep breath, "Okay, I promise."
Anyway, she had no choice now, so she might as well take the long view, maybe the other party really wanted to work with her.
They both agreed on a time and place to meet before hanging up the phone.
Seeing Blythe hang up, Winston stepped aside and asked, "Is that a yes?"
Blythe turned her head to look at him and curved her lips in triumph. "She's like a headless fly right now, not knowing what to do about Paulina, so how can she not say yes?" "It's true." A slightly hostile look appeared in Winston's eyes, "The pieces are in hand, it's up to us to decide what our next move is."
...
The next evening, Lisa arrived at one of the leisure clubs in J-Town as promised.
As she got out of the car, she glanced sideways at the black car parked a short distance away.
She knew Bergerian had sent someone to follow her, so she couldn't let him know who she had met anyway.
"I'll go in later and you find a way to stop them." Lisa whispered to the men beside her and hurried to the clubhouse.
She walked down the long hallway and took the elevator to the VIP box on the third floor.
Pushing open the door, she saw the strange woman sitting on the couch.
"Hello, Lisa." As soon as she saw her, the woman stood up and looked at her with a Dulce smile.
Lisa was pretty sure that in front of her was a woman she had never seen before.
She walked up to her, her face expressionless, and asked, "Did you call me?"
The other woman nodded, "Yes, it's me."
Then she extended her hand and introduced herself, "Hi, I'm Blythe, nice to meet you."
Lisa took her hand, "Lisa."
"Please sit down." Blythe held out her hand and motioned for her to sit down.
Lisa sat down and asked point-blank, "Can you really help me?"
Blythe looked at her, picked up the wine from the table and poured her a glass before slowly saying, "If I couldn't help you, I wouldn't have called you. Here, drink."
Lisa lifted her wine and took a sip, her eyes roamed his face a moment thoughtfully, and she said, "I've never seen you before, and I still don't know where you work...." "I'm just an idle man."
She seemed reluctant to say more.
Lisa took another sip of her wine and they both fell silent.
It was a long time before Lisa spoke again, "We don't even know each other, so why are you helping me?"
"Because we have a common enemy." said Blythe.
Lisa raised an eyebrow, "Paulina?".
"Yes, that's her." Blythe put down her glass, "What do you think, interested in working together?".
"How do I know if you're legit?" Lisa scoffed, "Besides, I don't even know what you are."
"It doesn't matter who I am. What matters is that we have a common goal."
At that, Blythe narrowed her smile, "And that's to keep Paulina out of trouble."
Lisa didn't make a sound.
She was still skeptical of Blythe.
Blythe read her thought and let out a laugh, "You know what? This time Paulina's virus will come back because of me."
Hearing this, a shocked expression flashes across Lisa's face, "It's you."
"Lisa, don't worry, as long as we work together, Paulina definitely won't have a good time." Blythe leaned slightly towards her and smiled.
Lisa was silent for a moment before nodding, "Okay, I promise to work with you."
If Blythe was cheating on her, she didn't mind giving her a taste of what had happened to Juanetta.
...
After talking to Blythe, Lisa went back to the hotel and immediately asked someone to bring Blythe's file.
But, oddly enough, there was very little information about Blythe, only that she was the honorary daughter of the President of the JR Group, and very little else.
Was Blythe well protected by the JR Group, or had she deliberately deleted information about herself?
The bottom line is that Blythe and Paulina had no history.
Who is Blythe and what is he doing with her?
This man is strange and mysterious.
Lisa is a bit insecure, but when offered help, she has no reason not to.
As long as she could deal with Paulina, she didn't care if Blythe was sincere or not.
"Are the Bergerians still around?" Lisa asked her men.
Her men nodded, "Yes, all the time."
Lisa smiled coldly and muttered to herself, "Bergerian, don't you want me to go back to my country? Then I'll go back."
Two days later, Bergerian received word that Lisa had left J-Town and returned home.
"Are you sure?" Bergerian wasn't too convinced that Lisa would give up so easily.
Carl nodded, "I saw her get on the plane with my own eyes, there's no way I could be wrong."
Seeing that Bergerian remained unconvinced, Carl continued, "After what happened that day, I think Lisa should have realized the truth and know that she can't go against you." "It would be better if she really thought that."
But he feared she was bluffing, that she hadn't left J-town at all.
Carl could see his concern and said, "Sir, don't worry, I've arranged for someone to wait at the airport, as soon as Lisa gets off the plane, we'll know if she's really come home." Bergerian hooked his lips and sneered, "She better be smart enough to come back, or I definitely won't be soft next time."
