Chapter 1551: Sweety has been kidnapped!
During this period of time, Bergerian did not forget, despite being busy with his new company, to push the R&D team to develop a drug that would cope with the virus. That day, the head of the R&D team personally delivered the drug to Bergerian.
Bergerian took the medicine and her long-strained nerves were finally relieved.
As long as he had the medicine, Paulina would be saved.
"Sir, the medicine is available, but Madame Paulina may not want to treat you."
Carl spoke of a harsh reality.
After what happened last time, it was certain that Paulina would not be willing to see him.
Even if she was willing, Marcos would not accept.
Bergerian pulled out his phone and dialed Paulina's number.
"We're sorry, the number you have reached is on hold ..."
At first, he thought Paulina was busy on the line and hung up.
After a few minutes, he dialed again and was still on hold.
Bergerian frowned, pressed off, dialed again and continued to do so.
Apparently, he had passed out.
He grimaced slightly, "Carl, give me your phone."
Carl obeyed and handed her his phone.
This time, the call went through.
And, Paulina answered.
"Hello, who is this?"
A familiar voice rang on the receiver and Bergerian felt inexplicably a little nervous.
"Sofia, it's me."
At the sound of Bergerian's voice, Paulina's nerves tensed and she asked, "What do you want again?"
"I can't tell you over the phone, let's meet."
Bergerian didn't notice the unconscious tinge of pleading in her voice.
"I won't see you and don't call me again."
Paulina hung up the phone.
An unsurprising result.
Bergerian clenched the phone in his hand and smiled inwardly.
He had really done this to himself, going to the trouble of drugging her in the first place, and now trying to save her.
Only after a long moment did Bergerian speak slowly, "It looks like I'll have to use extraordinary means before she comes to see me." "Carl."
"Present." Carl stepped forward and bowed his head respectfully.
"Bring his daughter."
"Yes." Carl stepped forward and hurried away.
They left the nursery and Sweety was led by her bodyguard to the car parked at the curb.
Suddenly, several figures rushed out to stop them. The bodyguards saw this and ran to protect Sweety, who looked at them suspiciously. Carl said nothing, but rushed to catch them.
The two sides began to fight.
One of the bouncers picked Sweety up and ran toward the car.
Carl saw him and immediately ran forward to grab Sweety.
The bodyguard's face changed and he tried to protect Sweety, but he was afraid of hurting her too much, so he saw Sweety fall into Carl's hands. Carl squeezed Sweety's neck, "If you come any closer, I'll strangle her."
There was nothing they could do.
Sweety screamed and struggled, but they put her in Carl's car and took her away.
Paulina was in the kitchen squeezing juice when suddenly the glass slipped from her hand and fell to the floor, splashing juice everywhere. Inexplicably, a bad feeling rose in her heart.
Before she had time to wipe the floor, the housekeeper came over in fright: "Paulina, the bodyguard just called and said Sweety had been kidnapped!". Sweety had been kidnapped!
Paulina's body swayed and she grabbed the wall to steady herself.
At that moment, the maid comes running down from upstairs with a cell phone in her hand.
"Your phone won't stop ringing."
"Give it to me."
Paulina took the phone.
"Sofia."
Bergerian's voice was heard.
Paulina instantly understood, "Sweety was abducted by you!".
"I have your daughter here." Bergerian looked at Sweety lying on the couch and sighed lightly, "I wouldn't have had to come this far if you hadn't refused to see me."
"Bergerian, if anything happens to Sweety, I won't let you off the hook!" Paulina gripped the phone tightly with both hands and gritted her teeth as she warned the person on the other end of the phone. "If you come to see me, she will be safe."
Paulina was so desperate to save her daughter that she didn't think twice, "Where are you?"
Bergerian gave an address.
It was a club.
Paulina dared not delay for a moment and took Vega to the clubhouse in a hurry.
Bergerian's face instantly sank as he saw that she was not alone.
"Where's Sweety?" asked Paulina sternly.
Bergerian's gaze strayed to the couch.
Paulina followed his line of sight, only to see Sweety lying on the couch as if asleep.
Her heart suddenly clenched.
"What did you do to her?"
"I just gave her some good sleeping medicine."
"Bergerian!" cried Paulina, emotionally out of control, her finger shaking as she pointed at him, "If anything happens to Sweety, I won't let you go even if I die!"
"Don't worry, that drug won't have any effect on her body. She'll wake up in a few hours."
Paulina clenched her palms and looked at him coldly, "Give her back to me."
Bergerian ignored him, "Paulina, I asked you to come because I have a new medication that will treat the virus in your body."
With that, he pulled out a bottle of medicine and handed it out.
Paulina didn't even look at him, she just slapped his hand away.
Clang...
The medicine bottle fell to the floor with a crunch.
Bergerian couldn't believe it, but luckily it didn't break.
Paulina's cold, hard voice rang in his ears, "Marcos will save me, don't bother, give me back the baby!".
As he didn't move, Paulina rushed to grab Sweety from the couch.
Carl tried to stop him, but he saw Bergerian raise his hand to signal her not to move.
Because he liked her, he didn't want to hurt her anymore.
Tying her baby up was the next best thing.
Paulina hugged Sweety tightly and her cold gaze bore into Bergerian, "If you ever touch my family again, I won't forgive you for the rest of my life!" With these words, he took the child in his arms and walked away.
Vega looked at Bergerian and bent down to pick up the medicine from the floor.
Since Bergerian said it was a new medicine, maybe it would work for Paulina.
