Chapter 3584 The Demands Of The Vampires
At this moment, Nathan's prestige within the Earth Alliance had reached new heights.
No one among the Gods of War dared to oppose Nathan's decision.
Everyone had no choice but to follow Nathan's instructions. Gathering their respective teams and preparing for battle, they waited for the latest orders.
At this moment, the vampire army was steadily advancing.
It turned out that Hepburn kept receiving news about Nathan.
She was first overjoyed to learn that Nathan had safely returned from Mount Eoncrest unscathed.
Thereafter, she learned of the chaos that broke out within the Curia army.
The dispatched elite vampires investigated and shockingly discovered that it was Eugene IV who conspired with the Gods to launch an attack on Nathan and the human Gods of War. Deeply concerned about the life and death of her beloved Nathan, Hepburn immediately gathered all the vampires and set off toward the Curia Army's camp, determined to rescue Nathan. However, she was also worried that this move might lead to a misunderstanding with the human army, so she dared not march too quickly.
She never imagined that before the vampire army she led arrived, Nathan had already quelled the rebellion, slaying Eugene IV.
Swoosh!
A burly figure hurriedly approached Hepburn. It was none other than one of the vampire princes, Max.
With utmost respect, Max said, "Queen Hepburn, it seems the turmoil at the Curia Army camp has subsided. Moreover, the human alliance has dispatched troops to meet us." Hepburn furrowed her brows. "What's wrong with Mr. Cross? Also, do we know who the approaching troops belong to? Do we have any information on their unit number or insignia?"
Max answered truthfully, "It seems to be the forces of Eurasia. The flag they've raised, however, belongs to the commander-in-chief of the Earth Alliance."
The flag of the commander-in-chief of the Earth Alliance! Could it be that Nathan has arrived?
Hepburn's face was filled with surprise and delight.
Just then, another figure rushed over. It was Lyanna.
With a face full of excitement, Lyanna exclaimed, "Queen Hepburn, Commander-in-chief of the human alliance, Nathan, is personally leading the army. He has called you out to come forward and talk." Hepburn was finally relieved to know that Nathan was all right.
Even after learning that Nathan was approaching with a formidable human army to question her, she remained calm and composed. With a smile she said, "Alright, esteemed princes and lords, follow me to meet Nathan."
The vast vampire army stood in opposite the thirty-thousand-strong North Army of Eurasia, separated by a distance of one thousand meters. Behind the North Army of Eurasia, there were armies from various countries.
The human forces gathered there had exceeded a million.
Accompanied by his trusted generals Colin, Fang, Destroyer, and Heptakill, Nathan arrived in the middle of the two armies, waiting for Heptakill to appear. In the rear, Leopold and Wolfric were in charge of coordinating the allied forces, ready to respond to any potential battles that might break out. Hepburn, along with Lyanna, Max, and other powerful members of the vampires, arrived unhurriedly at the center of the two armies.
Upon seeing Nathan, Hepburn's eyes shimmered with affection. She said with a charming smile, "Mr. Cross, it's been a while. I trust you've been well." Nathan gazed at the simultaneously strange yet familiar Hepburn, a mix of emotions swirling in his heart.
He was once friends with Hepburn, and they were also comrades in arms.
Never in his wildest dreams did he imagine that we would meet and converse in such a manner.
However, he quickly composed himself, calmly saying, "Hepburn, what are you vampires up to? Are you intending to wage war against us humans again? Must it come to a fight to the death before you're satisfied?"
Hepburn saw that Nathan was serious.
Naturally, she couldn't openly admit that she cared for him and that she was there to save him.
She became serious as well, saying softly, "For thousands of years, we, the vampires, have been like rats underground, oppressed and hunted by you human's. We hide away, shunning the light of day, living a life of disgrace. Yet you refuse to leave us alone, nor do you give us even the slightest room to survive. Why is it that you humans are willing to make room for all sorts of animals and provide them with a certain living space, yet you cannot tolerate us, the vampires, and seek to
exterminate us completely? We are not vying with you humans for the throne of Earth's dominion. All we seek is a meager living space to survive. If you humans can't even grant us this small request, then we have no choice but to fight for a path to live and a place for us to survive."
