The Fortune-Telling Heiress

Chapter 359

Chapter 359

Madison watched Raymond silently and said, "Crying won't help. If you don't want to leave, you have to obey the rules. Do you understand?"

Raymond nodded gently. As he did, a tear rolled from the corner of his eye and splattered onto the ground. He bit his lip in a display of frustration and helplessness.

"You're a natural spiritual body. There are many demons outside, and countless cultivators want to possess your body. But you're free. If you want to stay here, you can. If you don't, you can leave at any time," Madison emphasized. Raymond shook his head.

Madison extended her spiritual energy to probe Raymond's body. "There's nothing wrong with your body, and your astral body is intact."

Raymond stood obediently, allowing Madison to examine him.

Confused, she asked, "Your body and astral body are normal, so why don't you want to speak?" Raymond remained silent.

"Refusing to talk doesn't necessarily stem from physical or astral issues. It might also be psychological." A deep, steady voice suddenly broke the tension. Madison turned to see Sebastian standing at the bottom of the stairs. He had one hand in his pocket, and he lifted his gaze slightly as he observed them. The morning sunlight poured in behind him, obscuring his features, but his voice was cool and carried the distinct chill of dawn.

The living room fell into a hush.

For some reason, Madison instinctively withdrew her fingers from Raymond's forehead. "This is Raymond Nimbus. I brought him back when I caught Malcolm." Sebastian stepped forward, moving out of the shadows and into the light.

As he ascended the stairs, the sound of his polished shoes echoed crisply against the marble, causing hearts to quicken in sync with his steps.

Madison glanced toward Yara's bedroom door, where she spotted Yara peering out, her expression a mix of curiosity and trepidation.

As Sebastian approached and stood before Madison and Raymond, he gave Raymond a cursory glance.

When their eyes met, he paused briefly before averting his gaze again. "His silence might not just be due to physical or astral issues; it could be psychological. Do you need me to introduce him to a therapist?"

Sebastian's demeanor seemed considerably more relaxed than before, even if the others hadn't fully caught his expression in the shadows.

Raymond stood beside Madison, his eyes coldly directed at Sebastian. His gaze was devoid of any warmth. It was like he was looking at a lifeless object.

Sebastian noticed the chill in his gaze and smiled gently, his voice low and soothing. "Do you need my help, Maddie?"

The way he pronounced "Maddie" added an ambiguous softness to his words.

Madison glanced at Raymond, who had hidden his icy demeanor and was obediently shaking his head. She returned her gaze to Sebastian and replied, "He seems unwilling."

"Let him be, then," Sebastian said before turning to Madison. "You haven't had breakfast yet, right? After you eat, I have something important to discuss with you.

"Okay," Madison replied.

The earlier tension dissipated in an instant.

Wanda sighed in relief as she watched Madison and Sebastian head downstairs.

Just as Raymond made to follow them, she grabbed his arm. "What do you think you're doing?"

Raymond shot her a cold glance.

For some reason, Wanda immediately released him but still cautioned, "Ms. Locke and Mr. Hall have something to discuss."

Raymond either didn't understand or pretended not to. He followed closely behind them like a puppy as they descended the stairs. Yara finally dared to float out. "What a battlefield of emotions!"

Wanda shot her an annoyed look. "Can you please not say that in such an excited tone?"
