Four Mates And A She Wolf

Chapter 6 - An invitation

Avery intervened swiftly, her voice firm yet calm as she addressed Shane and Sean. "Hey, guys, chill out," she said, stepping between them. "I can't have you two fighting on my behalf." Shane's jaw tensed, his fists clenching at his sides. "But Avery, he "

She raised a hand, cutting him off. "I don't care who started it. We're not solving anything by fighting. We're better than that."

Sean shifted uncomfortably, his gaze flickering between Avery and Shane. "Yeah, she's right, Shane. Let's just drop it."

Avery nodded in approval. "Thank you, Sean. Now, listen, both of you. I didn't ask for this rivalry between you. I invited you both here for a reason."

Shane's expression softened, curiosity replacing his anger. "What reason?"

Avery smiled, her eyes gleaming with warmth. "Because tonight is family dinner time at my place. And you two are like family to me."

Shane's eyebrows shot up in surprise, while Sean's lips curved into a hesitant smile. "You want us to come over for dinner?" Shane asked, still processing the invitation.

Avery nodded. "Yes, I do. My parents would love to meet you both, and I thought it would be a good opportunity for us to spend some time together outside of, well, all this tension." Sean nodded in agreement. "I think it's a great idea. I'd love to come."

Shane hesitated for a moment before nodding as well. "Yeah, sure. Dinner sounds good."

Avery beamed at them both. "Great! Dinner is at 7. Don't worry about bringing anything, just come as you are."

"If you might excuse me, I will take my leave". Avery said and waiting for none of the brothers to respond, Avery made her way out of Alpha Shane's office.

"Avery, wait up!" Avery heard the voice of Sane called out to her.

Avery stood in the dimly lit hallway, her heart pounding in her chest as she watched Sean approach. Despite the tension that lingered between them, there was an undeniable magnetism pulling them together.

Sean stopped in front of her, his eyes searching hers for any sign of hesitation. Finding none, he reached out, gently cupping her face in his hands. "Avery..." he whispered, his voice barely above a breath.

Avery's breath caught in her throat as she felt Sean's warm breath against her skin, sending shivers down her spine. Without a word, she leaned into his touch, her eyes fluttering shut as she surrendered to the overwhelming rush of emotions coursing through her.

As their lips melded in the dance of desire, time seemed to stand still. Avery's senses were overwhelmed by the taste of Sean's lips, sweet yet urgent, as if he was pouring every ounce of his being into the kiss. His hands, gentle yet possessive, roamed her body, leaving trails of fire in their wake. Avery's own hands found their way to Sean's hair, fingers tangling in the soft strands as she pulled him closer, unable to get enough of him.

The world around them faded into oblivion as they surrendered to the whirlwind of emotions swirling between them. It was as if the universe had conspired to bring them together in this moment, where nothing else existed except the raw intensity of their connection.

In the silence that followed, they clung to each other, their hearts racing in unison as they struggled to catch their breath. Avery's chest heaved with the weight of her emotions, her mind reeling from the intensity of the experience. Sean pulled back slightly, his eyes searching hers for any sign of hesitation or doubt. "Avery," he murmured, his voice husky with desire. "Are you sure about this?"

Avery met his gaze with unwavering determination, her eyes blazing with passion. "Yes, Sean. I've never been more sure of anything in my life."

With that, Sean's resolve crumbled, replaced by a fierce longing that mirrored Avery's own. He leaned in once more, capturing her lips in another searing kiss, pouring all of his love and longing into the embrace.

Their kiss deepened, becoming a symphony of desire and need, each touch and caress a testament to the depth of their connection. In that moment, they were no longer two separate beings, but rather two souls intertwined in a passionate embrace.

As they finally pulled apart, their chests heaving with exertion, Avery felt a sense of peace wash over her. She had never experienced anything like this before, a love so profound that it left her breathless and exhilarated all at once. Sean gazed at her with adoration shining in his eyes, his fingers tracing delicate patterns along her cheek. "Avery," he whispered, his voice filled with reverence. "You are everything to me."

Avery felt tears prickle at the corners of her eyes, overwhelmed by the depth of emotion in Sean's words. "And you, Sean," she whispered back, her voice barely above a breath. "You are my everything."

In that moment, they both knew that they were embarking on a journey that would change their lives forever. But as they stood there, locked in each other's embrace, they knew that no matter what the future held, they would face it together, bound by a love that was as timeless as it was true.

As they broke apart, gasping for air, Avery felt a sense of clarity wash over her. She had never experienced anything like this before, a love so intense and all-encompassing that it threatened to consume her whole.

Sean's eyes bore into hers, his gaze filled with a mixture of longing and vulnerability. "Avery," he whispered, his voice hoarse with emotion. "I... I don't know what this means, but I know that I can't deny what I feel for you."

Avery reached out, threading her fingers through his, her heart swelling with affection. "Sean, I feel it too," she confessed, her voice barely above a whisper.

"I don't want to lose you, but I know it's your choice to make". Sean sadly said to Avery.

"I don't want you! Or the others". Avery silently wished her for the last part.

Avery doesn't know if it was a curse or a blessing for her to have four mates. She just hopes everything ends up fine at the end.
