Ruth fell helplessly to the floor.

Her face was swollen from Yuliana's beating.

Noticing that Yuliana had gone, all the employees rushed out of the room and quickly helped Ruth up.

"Miss Welmert, are you alright?"

"We've called the police. They are on the way. We can't let them get away with this!"

"I'll call them right now and get the police to stop them!"

But Ruth stopped the employee.

She sniffed and said, "It's fine. Forget about it."

Even though this wasn't Nashaland, Yuliana was still a very important person. Even if the police did catch her, they wouldn't dare to do anything to her!

It would further irritate Yuliana.

It didn't matter to her anyway, her life wasn't that important.

She was only worried that Yuliana would take out her anger on Yesseca.

Madam Quartley had a very long conversation with Rorita. She had given several important reasons why Tremaine should not resign from his position as president as well as the side effect it would have on the people. Seeing Rorita falling deeper into a daze, Madam Quartley sharply raised her voice, "Rorita! As the lady of the house, you are responsible for guiding your husband back on track when he's gone of the rails!"

"This has become your responsibility the moment you married him!"

Rorita's face froze, she then said, "Yes Madam Quartley. I understand."

Madam Quartley was not convinced by Rorita's response.

Hogan had called her again today to tell her that Tremaine was still adamant on resigning. He had

gathered his cabinet members today

and has directly expressed his d

intention to resign and asked them to assist the young man in his new role."

Madam Quartley knew that if she went to talk to him again, he wouldn't change his mind.

Her only hope now was Rorita. She was banking all of her hope on her, changing Tremaine's mind.

But, she still felt a nagging feeling that it was hopeless.

This wasn't exactly a dire thing after all.

If Tremaine was going to resign, he would have thought about it thoroughly and planned appropriately.

Meaning it would be very difficult to change Tremaine's mind.

But regardless, she still had to try.

"Rorita, the future of Nashaland rests in your hands!" Madam Quartley exclaimed, "Now matter how suitable that young man Tremaine selected is, I don't have faith in him! Tremaine is the only

one suitable for the role as president!"

Rorita nodded her head.

She agreed.

Ever since Tremaine took charge, the country has been progressing rapidly. Nashaland's standing on the world stage has also improved and it's people have been growing more satisfied by the day. She didn't dare to imagine what things would be like if Nashaland lost Tremaine as it's president.

Rorita sank into her feelings of guilt and remorse.

She should have told Tremaine about Yesseca's heart condition.

At the time, she just didn't want Tremaine to have any regrets. She never thought that he'd resign.

If she had known that this would happen, she would never have said anything to him.

Tremaine was talking to Elmonde about how things were going with current international relations. He was giving pointers on what to pay attention to.
