The Billionaire's Forbidden Longing

Chapter 91 The Trickery in the Competition

Alexander let out a cold snort. Allison looked calm, but she was a magnet for trouble. She'd barely set foot abroad and already found herself in a police station. He wondered how much longer he'd have to keep an eye on her. "Need me to send James over?" Alexander asked.

Allison shook her head quickly. "No way, James is super busy. Don't bother him. I swear, I won't cause any more trouble. You gotta believe me!"

Hearing her voice, Alexander chuckled. His deep laugh came through the phone, and Allison finally felt at ease. "Alexander, you're such a pain. Do you enjoy messing with me?" His laughter made her heart flutter.

"I'm just worried about you," Alexander said. "Anything involving you is hard for me to ignore. Stay away from shady people, finish your business, and come home right away!"

With that, Alexander hung up, and Allison finally breathed a sigh of relief. Dating an older guy felt like having a dad.

When she stepped out of the bedroom, everyone was staring at her.

Felix said, "Allison, you handle the formation for tomorrow. We need to secure first place!"

Tomorrow was the qualifying match against the Red Devils, a tough team. But they had never beaten Felix's Rainbow Team. Felix was confident, but Allison thought he was too cocky.

"Felix, your brain is as messy as your hair. From now on, you'll only get one meal a day, and it has to be boiled vegetables. Cleo will be watching you! If you don't slim down in three days, I'm done!" Allison set a firm rule: she believed that when people gained weight, they often became less motivated, and that was unacceptable to her.

Felix groaned, "No! Just kill me now!"

Ignoring him, Allison set up the lineup and had everyone practice until they nailed it.

"Finishing the match in under sixty minutes is our goal. Get a good night's rest. No one leaves the hotel, and no visitors allowed!"

"Got it!" Everyone followed Allison's orders without question, making Felix, the actual captain, look like a figurehead. But he didn't mind; he happily went to eat his veggies.

Besides the veggies, Allison made Felix take several pills. Within hours, he lost over ten pounds, which freaked him out. "Allison, you're a devil. I'm practically living in the bathroom."

Allison said bluntly, "You've got a lot of toxins to flush out in three days. Tomorrow, we start with a sauna. Keep it up, Felix!"

Felix collapsed on the floor. "Just kill me, please!"

The match kicked off at 10 AM. Felix's team was the last to face the Red Devils. Allison and her crew were chilling in the lounge, watching the other matches.

The Python Squad went up and crushed their opponent in the first round. Allison watched closely and then turned to Felix. "If they make it to the finals, they'll be our biggest threat!"

Felix, for once, looked serious as he watched the video. The Python Squad played ruthlessly, charging ahead without caring about their teammates, just to win.

Allison said to Cleo, "If they're linked to Julie, this isn't a coincidence. There might be other Julies lurking around. Cleo, get someone to check it out!" Allison didn't want to get involved, but if things got too serious, it wasn't about whether to step in but about dealing with a potential threat.

"Allison, they're nuts!" Cleo said, bringing over a tablet with a video of people swallowing worms. Felix immediately puked; it was like a nightmare for him. The others looked pretty shaken too, but Allison stayed serious. "They're being controlled. Check their private accounts, now!"

Felix rushed back and hacked into a few accounts, then gasped, "They're all empty!"

Allison frowned. "Check your own!"

Felix's hands shook as he typed. His money, his precious money! When he saw his account was still intact, he let out a sigh of relief. Allison took the computer, reset the account, and handed it back to Felix. "You should be grateful our accounts have protection programs. Do you know how many attacks your account has faced? Over six thousand. Idiot, if this happens again, I won't help you!"

Allison was pretty ticked off. She then found the Python Squad members' account info and planted a small program. Soon, it was time for Allison's team to hit the stage. Allison and Cleo wore baseball caps to keep a low profile.

Meanwhile, in front of the live broadcast screen, Alexander watched the girl on the screen intently. Allison was calm and composed, the heart of the team. Seeing her, Alexander couldn't help but smile.

Beside him, Benjamin noticed the smile and felt a bit helpless. Men in love always wore that goofy grin. Just then, a woman approached Alexander and said, "Abel, I've been looking for you. I heard you don't like seafood, so I made some porridge for you."

Seeing the woman, Benjamin frowned slightly. She was Ruby Hills, his student and a top student at Stellar University, the campus queen. She was usually low-key, but ever since meeting Alexander, she had been trying to get close to him. Even Benjamin felt awkward, let alone Alexander, who took a few steps back to keep his distance from Ruby.

"Ms. Hill, we're not close. Don't do this again. I don't eat food prepared by others, especially women!" With that, Alexander turned and left, leaving Ruby standing there awkwardly.

"Dr. White, what's Abel's deal? Why is he so difficult?" Ruby was unwilling to give up and wanted to know more about Alexander.

Benjamin's expression turned cold. "Do your job, Ruby. I brought you here to work, not to flirt. If you don't want to stay in the lab, leave. I don't keep slackers!"

Benjamin also left in anger, leaving Ruby in tears. She couldn't understand why Alexander would reject her, the campus queen of Stellar University!

Allison's match was still in full swing. The Red Devils were tough, and their tactics were very similar to the Python Squad. Allison frowned while continuously directing the team. "Sabrina, block the retreat. Be careful not to use too much energy!" "Got it, Allison!" Although Sabrina was young, she was quick and agile, always handling the rear flank. Cleo and Felix charged ahead, while Allison covered the rear with some teammates. Tobias was placed in an inconspicuous corner, ready to be unleashed at the critical moment.

Allison said calmly, "Tobias, it's showtime."

In the last ten minutes, Tobias's pent-up energy exploded, almost blowing up the screen. Allison watched calmly from the side.

In the observation room, everyone was stunned by Felix's team's performance.

"They're too strong. If we face them in the finals, we're toast!" someone exclaimed.

Jack also saw it and felt more defiant. He stared intently at Allison, unable to believe that such a small girl could lead her team to victory in under an hour.
